Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

If we can only get you in the mix....that would be fun......:thumbsup2

Awe, Thanks! I'm hopeful. We're facing some changes around here, maybe. We'll know more in July. Jim is a little leary of my imaginary friends at the moment, even though he's met you, Jordan!

I am facing my own issues with my "real" friends not understanding my "imaginary" friends......they're coming around though.:thumbsup2

Cherie, I'm a little late, but sorry about Evan's fender bender. I'm sure there is a reason you won't be on your road trip.

I don't understand the logic about the teen driver stuff. We have State Farm- when my DS was 16, 2nd day out with his brand new license, he hit a lady along a highway - she was driving really slow behind a line of cars, and she was behind the row of mail boxes - he thought all the cars were gone. Anyway, no one was hurt, and he learned a big lesson, and our insurance covered every penny and did not raise our rates. They even gave him his own policy with our discount when he got married 3 yrs later! DH won't think about changing companies! :thumbsup2

The rest of the story is really funny, and we could all use a laugh... I got a call at work from oldest DS, Ryan - "mom, I think Mark has been kidnapped - I came home and his car is at the end of the driveway, it's running, the door is open and he's not there! I moved his car up to the house" Mark didn't have a cell phone then. So, I leave work - on my way home, I get a call from Mark, "Mom, I hit a lady, and I went in to the neighbor's house to call the cops, and when i came out my car was stolen!" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: When I got there, a very bewildered police woman was there trying to sort out the whole stolen car that hit the other car story - the look on her face was priceless! :lmao:

That is a great story! :lmao:

I know there is a reason we shouldn't go...D.Jay was feeling unsure the week before the accident...and to be honest, I had been having similar feelings but I was too stubborn to "listen"......well, I guess since I was too hard headed I had to have a little more of a push to make the right decision.

After I found out that no one was hurt, the first thing that ran through my mind was "don't go on the trip"........I decided I better listen.

I would be so excited to see you! The coast is at it's best in August. When in August? It is about 4 hrs over to the coast from here, but I might be able to convince Jim I need a trip over there - it would be great for him to meet you guys, and I would love to see you!

That would be perfect if you're there on the weekend! We are going to be more than half way there for a jet boat trip on Aug 7th - I am planning an overnight for us anyway, so why not at the coast? Keep me posted! We would be closest to Brookings or Gold Beach from there.

That stinks about the nixing of the travel vacation. I was hoping to live vicariously through you! But, I totally understand about budget cuts. Glad no one was hurt in the accident. :goodvibes

I'll let you know as soon as I make up my mind!:rotfl:

we have a couple things that are our main consideration in when we go....and now Bailie has made it harder. Her friend surprised her with concert tickets and a trip to portland on August 9th.....so now we have to decide, do we change our schedule around so she can go and still come with us. or do we say no, it's a FAMILY vacation.....or let her stay with her friend for the 2 weeks.....Gahhhhhh!

And there's a certain someone in CA who's schedule decides when we leave..

Morning All!!!

Morning Rosie!!
I love that I can hear your voice in my head when I read your posts!:lovestruc
