Dance teams in Jan/Feb?

I was reading the thread about Pop Warner, and it got me thinking about the dance teams that have been in disney the past 3 end of Jan./early Feb.'s we have been there. I was wondering if anyone knew who these teams were, and if they are going this year? If so, is there any way to find out the schedule/dates of when they are there?

When I went, it was high school and college teams from across the country who were competing for National titles. The dance teams I competed with were through UDA- Universal Dance Association. Our cheerleaders went also with UCA- Universal Cheerleaders Association.I'm sure they both have wensites that list the schedules. Also, you may want to search for National Dance Assoc and National Cheer Assoc as they also go. Hope this helps!

where do the cheerleaders stay? is there a certain hotel that is traditionally used? just wondering where it'll be busy.

We stayed at All Star Movies a couple years ago, and they were there. I am not sure about last year... I would assume they stay at the value's.

They mainly stay @ the All stars with overflow heading to POP, but it seems like there is a small scatter of teams @ moderate resorts to. I believe teams have been at POFQ and CBR.

I think we may be the only ones trying to find the dance championships. DD is a dance major and would love to go watch the competition. Have checked the WWS site and the event isn't listed. Does anyone know how to find out about tickets for the competition?

Once again....the current dates that intercot has for the Feb. cheer and dance competitions are wrong. The Dance team competition begins Feb 4th-the 8th with teams arriving as early as the 2nd. The High school competition is the Feb 11-16th. Visit www.varsity.com for the correct information.
