Dance Moms

Anyone else out there watch this show? Which mom is your favorite/least favorite? What have you thought about the season so far this year?

I watch it. Holly is easily my favorite. She is calm, articulate, and rarely involved in any drama. I cannot stand Christi and enjoyed her not being on the show yesterday.

I don't watch but DD does. I was a Dance Mom for many years and we never had any drama of any kind.

Abby's studio is in a nearby town. My DD watches this show but I very rarely will. I think they all act poorly and are setting their kids up to be horrible people.

I have a good friend who's daughters perform with a competitor dance company locally. She has had interactions with Abby and says yep, she is that awful in real. However, she has ran into the moms and says they are not bad.

My DD has interacted with Brooke a few years ago before the show at playgrounds and stuff. Can't say we knew her though.

I have seen Holly out and about shopping. She seems very normal but wow is she tall! No one seemed to recognize her so I just smiled and let her mind her own business. A friend of mine's brother lives next door to them and has said they are really nice people.

We did watch Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition and I thought those moms were even worse. The way they all talk to the kids is horrible.

I love Chloe.

She is such a talented little girl.

I can't stand seeing her get yelled at, even if it is for TV.

I think another reason I like her the best is that my son resembles her. They have some of the same facial features(weird I know).

I actually don't mind her mother, but I wish she would tone it down and be more tactful.

So I looked it up and I have missed quite a bit! We moved while it was on break so my new DVR wasn't set up to record it like my last one. I can watch a couple on demand, and I'm recording a few repeats, but I need to find episode 1 and 2 somewhere. Grrr....

Ok so I just found this show...That Abby woman is AWFUL so these women pay big bucks to have her treat their kids this way? Are there other kids at the studio too or just these girls??? And does anything good ever come out of her mouth??? I shouldn't watch it before bed because the negativity is SO bad!

Yes there are others at her studio. The show is centered around her competition team.

She is a witch. BUT...She produced results. Some of her alumni are very successful professional dancers.

I love this show. I think all the girls are such talented dancers. Chloe is hands-down my favorite. I don't understand why Abby seems to dislike her so much. She seems like such a sweet girl.

It's my Tuesday night train wreck! I really enjoy watching the kids perform, they are so beautiful and talented. I don't really "like" any of the moms, I feel like they are allowing the kids to be verbally abused, and to what end?

As bad as Abby is, Kathy bugs me more. She dresses like a moron and acts all sweetsy but is not, at least with Abby she is what she is! And poor Vivy, that kid always looks so sad like she'd rather be anywhere than dragging behind her mom.

Lots of good comes out of her mouth... not that the producers would ever let us see it! Whenever the cast is on a talk show, the girls all talk about how much they love Abby and how she really isn't as bad as the cameras portray her. According to them, they only show the really bad and don't show the majority of practices which have her praising the girls. And I agree with Soldiers Sweeties; Abby gets great results.

I was happy for her last night when Kathy didn't make her perform. It's obvious the kid is not a natural dancer and Kathy makes it worse by awkwardly working her into routines. I bet Vivy is loving the all boy concept!

She would probably win every competition but I think she lets Abby freak her out.
I blame her mother for that. Get her out of there lady, she has obvious anxiety before she goes on the stage. Poor kid.

Actually Maddie got the scholarship as well but they edited it out to make it seem like Maddie did not get one. lifetime does a terrible job of editing during filming and on top of that they lie about a lot of the placements that Abby's studio has gotten. Like there have been times where one of the girls is said to have gotten first on the show but during the actual competition they got 2nd runner up.
