Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

Anyone know if "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition" is being aired this year, or if it's done?

I have a feeling season 6 will be the last one. Of Lifetime may just get of Abby and build a show around some of the others.

I thought the reunion show was bizarre also. The ending was very vague like they were trying to create a cliff hanger.

I personally love the show and I hope it continues, maybe with a new crop of girls if the old ones don't want to come back.

I just got done watching last night's episode. It seems to me that Abby is totally done with everything-the moms, maybe even dance competitions (and thus studios) since OBVIOUSLY the nationals must have been rigged, since her girls didn't win. And the moms seem to be actually supporting the fact that someone else might win. Frankly, I think Abby has gone over the real life edge and has lost touch completely. For the longest time I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but not any more.

Chloe posted a picture of her and Nia together on FB today. They had lunch together. I

I actually felt bad for Abby on the show last night. While I agree she's tough, as a performer, I get where she's coming from. I've worked with directors who've treated people appallingly.. and somehow they've managed to pull some amazing things out of myself and cast mates. I always have to ask myself if it was worth it... sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's hard sometimes to tell if they're just abusing their power or just operate that way.

That being said I did feel bad for her last night. The episode was too heavily edited... and horribly at that. The whole Holly/Jill fight? Give me a break... and don't even get me started on that awful proposal. How embarrassing.

I also hated that they tried to create some kind of drama or cliffhanger. Give me a break... I'd be alright with them doing an overhaul and having a totally new team of girls. Just keep Abby.

I'm not a fan of Abby by any means, but I gather the show didn't accurately portray the reason for the walk out at nationals. Mackenzie and Kalani both had unaired solos. Mackenzie came 4th in the Junior division...but then was the overall high score. And Kalani's solo was the first place duet/trio. Clearly at least some of the results were wrong, which would really make you doubt the rest of them.

The Reunion show was bizarre. If this whole show is scripted, that would explain a lot of the bizarre behavior. I agree that Holly has been really annoying this season, more so than other seasons. If she hates Abby so much, get out and stop renewing your contract. Abby is Abby, but if it wasn't for her, no one would know who these girls are and there would be no music or acting careers blooming. Abby is a business woman and she is smart enough to know this show is definitely at the beginning of the end. She needs to plan her future and she knows these girls are moving into the next stage of their lives. JoJo's mother is a know it all, i hope she is working on JoJo's speech impediment because this child needs help. Cute bows and dancing aren't going to be enough to get her through life. She's another one who needs to remember it's Abby who brought her daughter to fame.

I don't think there's any if in regards to whether the show is scripted. I don't buy Abby being the one responsible for these girls being "famous" either.

I suspect what's been playing out is a specific clause of the contracts of the originals who are left, Abby included. Since the show has been continuously renewed thus far I think those folks are looking to increase their share of the pie. Considering the slice of reality these producers focus on for their show, color me oh so not shocked that their reaction to an increased salary demand would include tactics designed to convince those asking for more $ to knuckle under or be destroyed on screen. I haven't seen the nationals ep or the reunion, but there's no denying the editing surrounding Abby shifted significantly this year. I'm sure her thoughts have gone more than once to Kelly's and Christi's departures from the show -- as opposed to the smart play by Kathy from Candy Apples this season, evaporation, which happened during contract renegotiation by the way.

My favorite part of the reunion was when the producer says to Jeanette, "Well, I know you have to go..." After we had just seen that the other mothers arrived hours earlier and went through hair and makeup. Yeah, Jeanette spent hours waiting around the studio and got all made up and dressed up because she only had 3 minutes to spare to walk out and say a sentence.

I saw on the dance moms Facebook page they want to hold auditions of kids 12 and under foe next seasons casting

Abby better warm up that pillow.

In Michigan we had a supreme court judge booted off the bench and she served time for a similar attempt involving a home she owned.

I'm confused if she filed in December of 2010 why does her 2012 and 2013 income matter?

Also totally use to watch the show but don't any more since my fiance can't stand Abby yelling at the kids. I use to watch when he wasn't home but now that we share the same work schedule there is less time for that.
