Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

I thought Nia looked gorgeous and I"ll leave it at that. Even in the most recent interviews she looks beautiful. I was happy for her.

I think Jill is being nasty and I don't get why they didn't bring the rest of the girls with them. Only JoJo was there? Where were the other girls?

I think Jill is being nasty, too. Very jealous acting. They said something like the girls "had another commitment", which made no sense since they also said that they left them with Jill's mom.

Still watching. My DD is obsessed . I miss Chloe and her dancing. She is a beautiful dancer. I don't get Maddie's appeal at all.

Does anyone still watch this? What did you think of Nia's video? I was not a fan. A little to provocative I thought for a 13 year old.

I saw the version of Kendall's video that premiered at CityWalk, and I thought it was much worse. She actually touches several of the older guys. Nia is almost 2 years older and I thought that her outfits in her video were less inappropriate. Neither is a pop star or will be any time soon.

Still watching. I liked the video but I didn't like it, if that makes any sense. The video would have been good for someone as old as they made her look but when you stop and think she is only 13, it was a little much. Anyway, I would have had an issue with dd doing that video at 13.

I must say that Abby has changed somewhat. Last year, she was out of control but she seems more supporting of the girls. She gives some attitude, don't get me wrong, but at times she really does show that she cares.

I'm not a prude by any means, but for some reason it just struck a chord with me. Maybe I'm just getting old. LOL

I didn't get that about the girls either. I thought that was a pretty crappy thing to do, especially coupled with them leaving Nia out f Kendalls video. I also think Jill is acting like a horses ***.

For me it wasn't how she was dressed but more of the sexual image she was portraying. She's only 13.

I agree she did look gorgeous! ! I really liked the video. I thought she looked like the next star of a disney show.

I never thought Nia had a long career as a dancer because as a ballarenia she isn't very graceful, but she out of all the girls would be great on a TV show. She has a great personality.

I can't stand Melissa and I'm beginning to dislike Jill too.

Nia danced wonderfully on the video, but I agree ballet isn't really her style. The hip hop or whatever that the video required really showed off her ability in that area. Her look reminded me of Janet Jackson somewhat. I do agree, she looked beautiful.

I thought both videos were inappropriate for the age of the girls. I really think Nia's was awful. Looked like she was trying to emulate Brittany Spears or Madonna. What was with the racy costume and the nearly naked men? I can't believe her parents approved that. Did not care for Kendal hanging out with "service men." Really????? Yikes.

I think we're seeing the series start to implode. A friend of mine just told me recently that Abby has now started to complain publicly about the producers. That to me is a sure sign of the end. For as awful as her behavior on camera has been, and rumored off camera as well, the ugliness was no doubt heavily scripted by the producers, reaching ever lower to keep things exciting for the cameras. I hope she has banked her money and manages it well, because I think no one will have anything to do with her once it ends.

On a similar note, did anyone see reports that the head of TLC has come out and said they aren't going to be making programs focused on the freak show ideas anymore? Apparently they're going for heartwarming and their roots of being The Learning Channel. It's about darned time. I actually wrote them a nasty gram a few years back after they started that Honey Child/Honey Cutie? show about the little girl from the beauty pageants. That one crashed and burned -- I sure hope that little girl is okay too.

Honey Boo Boo? That one was ridiculous

Its very obvious that much of Abby's behavior is for dramatic effect. The girls obviously love Abby and when push comes to shove, she supports them. Its funny how season before last, it was her and Kelly. Last season it was her and Christie and now this season its her and Holly. I can't help but believe a certain amount of their actions is scripted so that each mom and dancer can leave the show with out questions about "why".

And what ever happened to the law suits against Abby?

I don't think that either of the two videos are a whole lot different than most "pop stars" that are close in age to the girls. At their ages, they can't really do the same type of thing as Mackenzie and do anything with it. BUT, I also don't think any of the three of them are singers by any stretch. And they are so very young for anyone to be pushing a career on them and they have many years ahead of them to grow and mature and be able to really do something with their talents. I think its pushing both of them to be older than they are, its an easy thing to do at their age but, imo, a mistake.

I agree, I think the end is near for this show. To much focus on so much other stuff then the dancing. Plus I can't imagine how the dynamics will go when she moves to L.A. I heard the moms talking like they were following her there. Is that true? I can't imagine the moneys that good to uproot like that to follow a dance teacher. Honey Boo Boo was such a train wreck. I will admit to watching it only because I just couldn't how much worse they could possibly be episode to episode.

It would be nice if they went back to decent programming. Weren't they the network that did trading spaces? I liked that show.

I think Nia is a great dancers. But she would be better off with a company like Alvin Ailey or the Dance Theater of Harlem. Abby is a one trick pony (lyrical ).

Haven't watched for awhile but at my dd's dance competition last weekend we shared a dressing room area with Candy Apples and there was Cathy and her Vivenne - just 10 feet away!!! She was very quiet and talking to her dancers. She is a tiny thing too. Her studio walked away with a lot of awards. I saw a few dances from her studio and they were amazing!!!!

Yes!!! Dad and I watched Dance Mums and I found it very hard to follow!

I think the show will continue but it will be different. It will be about Abby building her new studio. The Pittsburg Moms will be furious because their girls are being neglected. More staged drama but of a different variety.

I'd love to know how much Holly spent on Nia's video.

I agree that Nia's video was too mature. I guess if you're competing with the Asia Ray's of the world you have to be edgy or else you're overlooked. It seems in general that a wholesome image only works if you have amazing talent.

I just don't see a difference in the way Nia was dressed in this video and what dancers wear (costumes and makeup)at these competitions. Heck, Abby had Maddie kiss a boy on the lips in one dance.

I saw Vivenne dance in a group. Not sure who else was there. I haven't watched the show in forever so I'm not even sure who her team is on TV. But each group we saw was AMAZING.
