Well it’s finally nearly time for our trip to Disneyland Paris so I thought I would do a quick pre trip report.

So the cast: Me, Karen, princess: loves Disney, loves to over plan and loves theme parks – 4th trip.
DH, Pete, :badpc: tolerates my obsession with Disney, loved theme parks and is happy to let me plan our Disney trips – 5th trip (he went the year it opened for the day with his parents.)

For me this trip has been planned in record time (I mean deciding we were going on New Years day is short Disney planning for me – I am a huge planner, my minimum planning time frame is usually at least a year!!) Plus I can’t believe I am having 2 Disney holidays this year (we are going to Disneyland in 4 months time!!) especially since our last Disney trip was Christmas/New Year 2005/6 at WDW, a long time ago!! Our last trip to DLP was Easter 2004 so a lot has changed since then which I am really excited about!!

So at last I am nearly packed (nearly packed meaning all my things are out on the spare bed ready to pack, I have lists of non clothes items to gather tomorrow and so far DH hasn’t even thought about what he is taking!!) and we are ready to head off on Monday at 2:00am for our long drive to the channel tunnel. We are booked on the 6:20am crossing but I am making sure we are at the tunnel early enough to have my usual bacon buttie before we board! I figured as I have been up since 1am a 5:30am breakfast buttie is allowed, hey I’m on holiday and as my friends say, holiday calories don’t count!! Hopefully we will get to DLP just in time for lunch. We are splitting up the driving so hopefully it won’t be that bad (I’m doing the 1st leg to the tunnel so DH can sleep, that way he does the French side driving!!)

So our plan, we are booked in to the hotel New York for 3 nights. We have our meals booked, Monday night dinner at Walts, Tuesday dinner at the Manhatten restaurant, Wednesday dinner at California Grill, then lunch at Blue Lagoon on Thursday before we leave for the drive back home (via a stop at Cite Europe to stock up on wine and champagne!!). We have also booked a tour of both parks, DL on Tuesday and WDS on Wednesday. We haven’t been to DLP since 2004 and I am really looking forward to the new rides, ToT and Crush are top of my list!! Oh and I think I will try a bit of pin trading (my latest Disney obsession!) Now the forecast is rain, so I have my water proof and I’m hoping that will mean shorter lines for the rides!!
So hopefully I’ll may be see some other Dissers there and will definitely have lots of photos to share when we get back.

Your meals sound wonderful - depending on your reviews we may be doing the same when its just DH & I in October!
Have a great time :)

WOW!!! Now that is super organised!!!

We don't plan as much but I like to have a rough plan of the things we'll do and places we'll eat... And we still argue about it all:lmao:

Have a lovely time. Look forward to the tippie:cheer2:

Sounds wonderful (especially the champagne!:goodvibes ). Can't wait for the trip report. Have fun!!!!!!

Have a wonderful time, your meal plans sound wonderful!

Have a fantastic time Karen - cant wait to hear all about - especially the park tours :thumbsup2

Hope it stays dry for you too :)

Have a great time :-)

Crush is definitely worth the queue, and ToT, well.... haven't been on a ride that knocked my socks off as well as that one in a while!

Hope you have spiffing time. Might see you there. :thumbsup2

We've never made it to Cite Europe, but will watch with interest as I could do with some nice wine and champagne :)

We go to Cite Europe about twice a year. The champagne in the Tesco there can often be £10 a bottle cheaper than the Tesco near us! The big carrefour hypermarket there has a great wine selection too. We usually stock up there. There are some really nice small wine shops there too that do special offers that are usually good value! OK, now I sound like a wino!!

So back to the planning. Most of the things are ready to put into the suitcase. We went shopping this morning for a few bits and pieces. Then Pete finally got around to sorting his clothes out. Only to decide he needs a new pair of black shoes and some black jeans!! So I guess we have to go and get them tomorrow!! Right now we are just downloading some tracks onto our ipods to listen to in the car and I have just found my lime green mickey head paint chips and attached one with my dis board name on onto my handbag!! So the rest of you guys that are going look out for a blonde, slim (on the inside!!) woman carrying a spotted handbag with a lime green Mickey tag on it and carrying a crocodile (actually the croc can fit in the bag, so she might be hiding in there!)

Will see you there !

We leave tomorrow am for Folkestone then across on the Tunnel Tuesday morning very early :)

PS My DH is exactly the same - we are just now washing the clothes that he wants to take ... mine and my DD are packed and we are ready to go ... men !

We're on the train after you!

Maybe we will see oneanother at the terminal! I'll be the one in the car with a green croc on the dashboard!!

Well with just over 6 hours before we set off we are all packed and ready to go. The neighbours have the keys to feed the pets for us and the ipods are fully loaded with tunes ready for the long drive!

So now I'm just hoping I feel tired soon as I have to be up at 1:20am to hit the shower, have a strong coffee and begin the drive at 2:00!!
