sam, the best thing about dana is talking to her! she is a delight, give her a call. I think when you put a request in online, it goes to an agent in her office. But if you call her, you can talk to her directly and she how great she is.

I booked with Costco and my cruise is sold out so she can't help me. Just the 5 min. I that I spoke with her on the phone wants me want to go on another cruise just for her service. You need to request Dana. PM me if you need to get in contact with her directly...in fact I think her e mail is posted on the another vote for Costco thread.
 
Call the number on the website. She returned my call the next day(I called late the previous night). She called DCL while I was on the phone, quoted me her price(huge savings), and transferred my ressie all in about 5 minutes. She was awesome.
 
Just wanted to chime in and add my praise for Dana!! She is wonderful to work with. Thank you for posting her name here.

I have to jump on the Dana bandwagon too! :rockband:

I had spent all morning of my day off emailing and making phone calls about my cruise

Dzepricess recommended Dana - I called rec'd a return call within about 30 minutes and about 30 minutes later I was booked and saved a nice piece of change

Her follow up has been great - email and then snail mail

I emailed the website 4 days ago and the only response I received was they were busy and I had plenty of time to make my reservations for our feb 2005 cruise:confused: I already booked it but was wondering after reading all the posts if she can do any better. oh well..

Did you try calling her at the phone number listed on the web page

I got the answering machine, but she called back in about a half hour

I look at it this way - it's just a few minutes on the phone she give you a quote right then and there - and you decide - I was glad I made the call

Yes, Dana will call you over the weekend if you leave her a message. She is great and you can't beat her customer service. I had received a good price quote from Costco, but Dana did beat the price. I much prefer having someone I can call and talk to instead of having to deal with Costco (been there, done that.)
A friend also booked the same cruise, and she got us in the same vicinity, and cross referenced the reservations so that we can dine together. Gotta love her.

I called Dana to get a quote, and although she certainly seemed friendly, she ended up being around $50 more than DU. So, at least on this cruise, I'll stick with DU. But, I'll keep her in mind for future cruise comparison shopping.;)
 
Thank you. I called Dana and called my usual TA (buycruises) and a few others and so far Dana has beat their prices. I also e-mailed DU and with the rebate, their price for this sailing is $300 more. I will call buycruises back and see if they will match or beat since I use them yearly but if not, Dana will get my business :) Thank you for posting it has saved me money :)

She wasn't able to do anything for me either. They hadn't gotten their group sailings yet on the dates I was interested in.

She was very nice though :)
 
She quoted me an excellent price. One I couldn't refuse. We booked a land and sea on the first day available for 06 on DCL, then trans the ressie to Dana. I dont have a costco account, so I dont know what they could have quoted me. She was the best price by far. :teeth:

As someone who is new to this whole thing. A question....

I have already booked a 2006 with DCL themselves. Would it ber advantagous for me to book thru Dana and cancel the one I already have? Or just use her from now on since there is so many people here who rave about her?

twinglez-NO, NO, NO, don't cancel with DCL. Call Dana...she'll tranfer the ressie if she can help you and you'll keep the same cabin everythin. Once you tranfer it out (like I did to Costco) her hands are tied.

P.S. Make sure you talk to Dana herself

LisalovesPooh-I'll do your postcard as soon as my daughter wakes up....you can wait for Dana to get her dates and then check again can't you?
 
We reserved a cabin on the Dec. 9, '06 cruise through DCL and then transferred it to Costco. Can we still transfer this to Dana? Would it be beneficial to rebook through her instead? How do her prices compare to Costco?
 
We have booked 4 cruises with micdan..they are excellent, really know their stuff and the prices definately can't be beat.
