Hey Dan I was dining at the Teppanayki on Dec 6 and I thought I saw you. I was too shy to come up and say hi. We were just sitting down when I saw this guy wearing a Bright green Dis shirt I thought I recongnized that guy from one of your pictures but I didn't see an Eeyore. Then I thought I saw you sitting near him. If that was you I am saying Hi now.

You should have went over to say hi to Dan because you would have been able to meet several Disers. Ray Sharpton was wearing the lime green Dis shirt. I was sitting between Dan and Ray. Helenabear, Towncrier, and ScottWDW (and his lovely wife and daughter) were also sitting at that grill that night.

Heck I was at Teppanyaki about a month earlier and I would have gladly waited a month if I had known you all were gonna show up. They had nice benches where I could have slept and a great view of the closing ceremonies to keep me entertained. (grin)

Had my green shirt on also. Just my luck. How about a date next May?

I met a ton of Disers last week, but most of them were at planned events. I only ran into one random Diser by spotting the lime green Mickey head on her camera bag. No one spotted my lime green while I was there.

Oh, and I just have to say that I absolutely adore every single Diser I met last weekend! Everyone is super nice! We really have an amazing group of people here.

That was definitely us then! Ray was in his lime green shirt that night and as Karen mentioned, a group of us had dinner together for CP that night You should have come over and said hi!

I agree Karen, great group of people we have here... I met new DISers this trip and spent time with a bunch more (some planned, some not) and never amazes me how friendly people here are. Even my dad (who met his first DISers on the 1st) said that he truly enjoyed meeting everyone and thought you all were the best

Hi Kelly'sLove!! I am sorry we missed you, so wish you had come over and said hello. Always nice meeting DIS'ers at the World, always so many are there. I know I have missed meeting a few DIS'ers over the years to shyness, but heck, most are just the same as they are here on the boards. Soooooo, next time you think you see a DIS'er, go ask them if they are!!!!! Hope to meet you in the future.

I am also one of those shy Disers that missed meeting Dan. It was September 2000, and he was at a Dismeet with Beauty and others. My husband pointed them out, and I was sure it was him, but figured he woudn't know me. We actually saw Dan a few more times after that, and ended up in a picture he took in Adventure Land. I kick myself often for being too shy. Never again. If I see lime green anything, I will see if they are Disers. It just hasn't happened again since that time. All other Disers that I've met have been planned.

LOL, no, SG, not me!!!! I'll go up to anybody, at WDW, here or anywhere, LOL. Though I have read a few times over the years, like TC and Kelly'sLove here, about others' shyness about approaching others. If they have lime green on, say hello.

No I am not in the picture we just sat down when you were finishing up. Me and my boyfriend were sitting right by the door diaganol from you.

Anyone who gets a chance to meet Dan should take the opportunity and do so. I met him at an Indpls meet. Am hearing impaired and sort of confined to talking to whomever is right by me and was not able to talk to many people at the meet. At the end this very large (not fat) man came over and gave me a hug, a smile and a Mickey for my keychain. Was a memorable moment as not many people are able to make me feel tiny and I was much larger in those days. LOL

Nativetxn was at the meet also and was so kind as to smile at me once in awhile and make me feel welcome also. Maybe I will try to make another meet next year.

I went up to everyone at WDW I saw wearing lime green and not one single one was a DISer. (sobbing) Got to admit that I got a lot of strange looks when I asked though. IMHO we need a lime green sun visor with DIS on it. Would be easier to see in a crowd, more noticeable and far easier to wear each and every day than the same t shirt over and over again. Just my thought.
