daisy scouts ??

Around here "club" soccer is 12 months about 5 days a week thing for a lot of girls, until they hit about age 13 and quit and have not a lot show for it. Its not bad idea to assume your daughter is not getting a Div 1 scholarship and getting a little more well rounded life experience.
Wow I didn't realize sports were a waste unless you get a scholarship at the end. I thought learning teamwork, how to win and lose gracefully, prioritize commitments, and the physical activity were benefits. I guess I wasted all those years playing high school tennis and volleyball because I ended up playing D3 club tennis instead of D1 scholarship tennis.

How do you feel about boy's club sports?

My son's club swimming was practice 5 days a week and then meets on weekends. He didn't get any div 1 scholarships, but that was never his or our focus. He did manage to become well rounded and successful.

Just my 2 cents, but from what I have seen locally here is girls in particular spend way too much time on a soccer field. Girl scouts give a much more rounded level of experience. Camping, public service, crafts, field trips, I would encourage it.
I played sports growing up. I played soccer , softball and basketball.

How short sighted of you.
Just because a person enjoys and plays a lot of a sport doesn't mean they have no time or opportunity for other activities.

My kids love soccer. But have time for many other activities and are as well rounded if not more than only scouting kids.
