We have a reservation for the Cinderella character breakfast next month but my 2 year old is allergic to eggs and dairy. The menu looks like everything except the fruit is either milk or eggs - does anyone know what alternatives there might be?

I did tell them about it when I made the ADR and they said to mention it again when we arrive. I was just wondering if alternatives will be offered or whether she will just have to have a lot of fruit!!!

there are egg substitutes they can use as an alternative. Call special food services and get more specific about it. There are times they will do a special plate.

I think I would do a couple of things, here. Bring some of your own breakfast food for her if you are insistent on going to breakfast there. Then at least, she won't go hungry.

I would switch to lunch or dinner instead and then you'll have better choices for her.

All you talked to was an operator in a call center, who may have been halfway across the country. Here is a link to Disney's site related to food allergies or intolerance's. Note that partway down they also have a link with the e-mail address for Special Diets. They can give you a lot of information and make special accommodations for you if needed.

We won't book a breakfast ADR at CRT because one of my kids can't have milk, eggs or gluten. Even if she could have gluten, the options just seem too limitted to spend that kind of money. I hear they have Van's waffles so I figure breakfast would be them, fruit and breakfast meats. I buy Van's at home so I really don't want to pay that kind of price for the same frozen waffles plus some fruit and breakfast meats when at WDW. I'd go for lunch or dinner over breakfast with egg and milk allergies.

She won't starve. They'll probably be able to offer Van's waffles, fruit, and bacon. I hear CRT isn't the best because they are always hurried trying to getting people in and out. If you were willing to change to Chef Mickey's you'd probably be able to get the allergy-safe Mickey Waffles, bacon, sausage, and fruit. OTH, if you're going for the castle experience and you don't think she'll mind safe, but below par food, I think you'll be fine.

Thanks for the info. I know it would be better to have lunch or dinner in terms of value for money and allergy free options but we could only get a breakfast booking so its not an option to change.

I'm not too bothered about us getting value for money from the breakfast, we are only doing it because she will be so excited to meet the princesses in the castle. Plus both girls are 2 and under so we don't pay for them to eat, only us.

We'll hope for some Van's waffles then, she'd love them it would be a real treat. I wonder if she'll be too excited to eat anyway!

If she is under 2, she will be eating off your plate.

For more choices you may want to consider the breakfast in Norway. It is still in a "castle", you have more princesses and more food choice.

We were told that under 2's could have a small plate of their own, we'll just have to wait and see. Its no drama, we'll manage. I can just have my plate be egg/dairy free instead and share with her.

I'm not interested in Norway or Chef Mickey I'm afraid, its booked so we can meet Cinderella in her castle and go inside, the breakfast isn't really important its just an extra. I just thought it would be nice to have an idea of what her options would be before we arrive.

I just thought I'd report back now that we are home. We went for our Cinderella breakfast and it was excellent. The chef was great about what foods she could have and they made an effort to make her feel special, which was a welcome change because a lot of the other places were a bit useless.

Also, both the 2 yr old and the 1 yr old did get their own plate of food afterall.

Glad to hear it went so well!
