I just discovered and started using Dailybreak yesterday. In less than 1 hours time (about 30 mins yesterday and again today) I have 376 of the 500 points needed for a $5 gift card (can choose Walmart or Amazon). I actually enjoy using this site. Its so easy and much of the content is actually interesting. Plus, for every day you visit consecutively you get "free spins" for bonus points.

They do limit how many "breaks" you can do in a day which is kind of nice because I'm not sitting around looking for more things to do, and I believe I read somewhere that you can only redeem 2 GC's per month. But even at two $5 GC's per month, thats $120 in a years time. That would buy our groceries while in Orlando!

I have not redeemed a GC from them yet and was wondering what others experiences were. This just seems so easy to do compared to the other sites.

As I posted in the SB thread I use Dailybreak well, daily, ;) and I like it. It's easy and quick, and often fun. But I do not know how you are getting a $5 gift card for 500 points? The option of cashing in for gift cards was not even available to me when I had 500 points, and when I look at the store right now, a $5 card is 14,000. I'd love to get one for such low points though so if you can get that offer I'd take it!

Mine also shows the $5 card is 14,000 points. Which seems very high because it caps my "breaks" at 10 per day. That is maybe 100-150 pts per day. 14,000 pts will take a very long time, even once I get to higher levels and get a 100% bonus on all points earned. It takes such little time though that I will stick with it and see how it goes.

I agree, it's a slow earner. The daily spins do help, especially when you get seven every day. Then there is the occasional sponsor break (like the Dr Pepper Batman vs. Superman one) that is 50 points.

Your honesty just turned my smile into a frown lol. Being new to the site, the $5 GC's are still "locked" for me. When you mouseover it, it tells you how many points you have left to unlock it. I thought it meant I would be able to purchase the $5 GC once I hit 500 points, not that I had to have 500 points just to unlock the ABILITY to purchase it (for the apparent 14,000 points) later on.

Oh man. Ok, I take back everything I said. It looks like it will take 2 to 3 months to earn a $5 GC. Newp! I have already made $40 in SB GC's in my first 22 days on SB. Guess I'll just stick with them. Thank you for clearing that up though!

You might try MPlaces (although I think they may have changed the name to MPlusRewards). If you are close to, or drive by stores that are featured on the site, you can get a lot of points per day. I get enough for a $5 gift card each week. You "check in" to various stores by clicking on them on the app as they show up on the map they have. You don't have to go into the store, you just have to be somewhat near it. I get all my check-ins when I drop off and pick up my kids from school. There is a limit of 25 check-ins per day; look for the stores that give you the most points for a check in. Also, as you get to know the routine you will find that some stores (like ATT) give you check-in points and the same number after you've checked in if you click on their ad that pops up, so a 30 point ATT check in becomes 60 points. There are other bonuses, like quick surveys and prize boxes too. I was able to get a $50 Target gc which I converted into a $50 Disney gc for my trip. It took me about 3 months because I used it on $5 Starbucks cards the first couple of times :)

I did this site religiously for about 45 days. It was easy to rack up points. However, it was easy for everyone else to rack up points. And when I got close to being able to cash out for gift cards, the available cards for purchase started disappearing one by one. After a month or two, new cards appeared for purchase with your points, but the point values were more than double what they'd originally gone for.

It felt either very poorly run or a borderline scam. I cashed out all my points on sweepstakes I knew I probably wouldn't win and haven't been back since.

I also haven't been back since I realized it was 14,000 points for a $5 gift card. I tell you another one I wont go back to, InstaGC. I signed up there and the first $3.50 or so was easy peasy but it took FOREVER to get that last $1.50 for a $5 gift card. I had about 20 or more offers that I completed and never credited. Pushed myself to reach the $5 and got a Starbucks GC for our trip but haven't been back since.

SB is just so much easier. I can earn a $5 worth in a single day.

Definitely a very slow earner just noticed that I have a sale on a target GC for a mere 10,000 pts!

This just goes to show how quickly these earning sites can change their requirements. I have been using Dailybreak for a couple of months and thought it was great.....until a couple of days ago when they changed everything. I'll still visit daily for the 7 spins--that takes less than a minute. I've also noticed on the Dailybreak FB page that folks are not happy about the changes.

I'm going to refocus on Bing. I've let that slip but if I meet my daily goals there I can earn $5 every three weeks. I also earn $10 a month on mPlus Places, and do well on Receipt Hog, Shopkick, Find & Save. My biggest earners are Swagbucks, eRewards and Ibotta.

I like Bing because it is easy to do, takes little time and rewards instantly. But it actually makes me happy to visit the site every day because I love seeing the daily cover photo. Today's photo of the bridge in Spain is just stunning.

I totally agree! I'm a traveler at heart and I love their photos. I have downloaded several for my desktop wallpaper.
