You purchase the one day ticket at the first park you visit, and then request to purchase an additional day at another park at the same time. You can save about $5 per ticket on your second day by doing this, but it is only available at the gates when you purchase your ticket for the first day...
The easiest way is to just purchase a 2 day/2 park ticket.
But, instead of purchasing them at the gate at the parks, I was told you can purchase them at Downtown Disney which would save you time at the gates on the day you visit the park.
This ticket is available at the theme park ticket booths, any Guest Relations location including DTD, Disney resort front desks and resort Guest Sevices. The only caveat is that the second day will expire four days from the date of purchase.
Gosh, I hope that all made sense.
It did to me.
