Daily spend! (4 sleeps to go!!!!)

Just got a missed call and a voicemail from Virgin saying it was courtesy call and I could call them back for pre-flight information and to find out about enhancing my flight... I assume that's just them trying to get me to upgrade to PE. But at this point I don't have the cash for that.

Do people think $100 a day is a feasible budget? I don't plan on buying loads of merch this time as I've kind of done that to death now! And we aren't on the DDP, however I don't eat breakfast really, and if I do. I have a banana and a nesquick! (*** I'm healthy like that).

Is your $100 per day for just you?I would assume a lot of that money would go on food and drinks.A good way to save a bit of money is try to buy in your water from outside the parks.With the heat and humidity you need a lot, and that one small item can really eat into your budget

Yes there's three of us going, but we're just friends so we all have our own budgets. So yep, $100 a day for me. On the first day we're heading to Wal-Mart to pick up some stuff like water, snacks, toiletries etc.....

Agree that you'll be absolutely fine unless you really push the boat out every day with 2 TS meals or do a bunch of the Signature restaurants.

oh ... there is one thing I forgot (about pushing that boat) ... OP's going with friends.
So, OP, be careful with the drinks, they're expensive, especially when you start paying for rounds, they come with a tip, and it can throw a budget overboard.

that's the only reson I can see why $100 would not be more than enough.

For a single person, I would think $100 a day would be plenty, but you might have to be a little selective as far as meals go as others have said. We have a budget of about $130 a day for 3 for 2 adults and 1 child but we have the DP.

Well we have Dinner booked at Cali Grill for our 2nd night, but that is our only big extravagance booked so far, however generally we would mainly be dining with our friend and his boyfriend who are local, and are part of the "Tables in Wonderland " scheme that a lot of the nicer restaurants are surprisingly members of, and that always helps drive down costs a bit!

I wanted to book Be Our Guest, but have left it far too late and given up on that dream now (for 2013 at least).

I'm sure I am over-worrying, but I've normally been a bit more free or had a bit more flexibility with cash when I've been, but we moved house a few months back, and it ended up costing a lot more than planned so I'm still recovering from that.

So I think it's just the fear that if I run out whilst I'm there, I don't have a backup fund or anything!!!

The TiW card is fantastic! It's the only discount you can get on drinks too, even if you're not a big drinker those prices can sneak up on you so it really is a great card.

I wanted to book Be Our Guest, but have left it far too late and given up on that dream now (for 2013 at least).

I know it's not the same but have you considered trying it for lunch? Assuming you are on Magic Bands/FP+ then there is a chance you make a FP+ for BoG meaning you don't have to stand in a silly long line.

Its probably safe to say I'm "a big drinker"!! Especially on my holidays!!!

That's freaky you should mention luch at BOG! I was just on Facetime with my friend who is over there, and mentioned about trying for lunch, he didn't even mention FastPass+, just that he was there the other day with his sister who is visiting and she really wanted to go, and they asked at the queue and were told 1.5 hours, so decided to just queue, but it actually only took 20 minutes!!!?? He just said to turn up for about 11:15, and queue then... So yes maybe we'll try that.

We can't FastPass+ it yet, as we have 14 day ultimate tickets which I have been unable to link to my MagicBands / MDE so can't do anything until we're there and have the tickets in hand apparently!!!
