I used to have shares in Euro Disney SCA from before they opened. I watched the prices fall and fall.

For some reason, my shares were bought out a few years ago ... something about foreign ownership, but they were worth so little, I didn't much care.

I just telephoned my internetbroker and he said that it is not possible for American tax payers to buy European shares.
It has something to do with the American laws.

I bought my shares when they were 0,07 EUR. So, if they are now 0,09 EUR, that means a prodit of about 29%!!!

Not bad, wished I had bought way more shares!

ETA: however, if the possible new owners don't continue with the Shareholder's Club, my shares will not have served their purpose. But, the Shareholder's Club is a good, and easy way, to make sure people keep on coming over and over again to the park. Yes, they do give discounts, but they also give discounts to AP-holders. Marketing-wise, it's a fine instrument. Give people the feeling they are important (by giving them access to Salon Mickey), and they'll spend their money!

I could have sworn that I posted on this thread yesterday..... If Center-Tainment bought out all the shares in Euro Disney SCA (which, in theory they could do if they owned enough of Euro Disney SCA - they could force the remaining shareholders to sell up), then we won't be shareholders anymore and there won't be a shareholders club.

Luckily it is a load of nonsense anyway.... I don't think anyone is taking this seriously and CT have missed the deadline set by the French regulator to make the takeover offer anyway.

Before giving up on this, I would check with an American broker. Sarbannes-Oxley is pretty restrictive in what non-US listed companies can do in the US, but Euro Disney SCA may be wrapped up in the disclosures that TWDCo has to make (since TWDCo has a controlling interest). The stock you want is Euro Disney SCA, and the ticker codes are:
