DAH or add extra day?

February: Original plan Monday-Friday with DAH on Thursday night staying at POP total price tag with air $824. With the discounts released two weeks ago I can go Saturday-Thursday ASMo (but no availability for Thursday night at any of the values) price tag $736. Not really willing to pay the $200 extra I would need for a room Thursday night and I cannot keep just Thursday at POP if I cancel the other three nights of rack rate for a discounted rate though i will keep calling.

Currently holding both reservations and have not purchased DAH ticket yet. So torn on what to do. Thinking I can really enjoy more with a whole extra day in parks but would like to experience DAH.

Can you crash off-property Thursday night after DAH? It's still hard to get a great hotel for under $100 - but its one night and you'll basically be packed - and just crashing for the night before your flight???

Cheapest rental I see right now is $50 and I don’t want to drive after a long night anyway. Uber would be more as I would have to either take luggage to offsite hotel first or pick up after DAH. Personally don’t feel that anything under a $50 savings worth the hassle

You've confused me!

If you can get the Thur night with your discounted Sat-Thur stay, will you still do DAH or is that off the table with the Sat arrival?
You also said "with air." Have you changed your airline tickets already?

DAH would be off table with a Sat arrival as I can’t get hotel for Thursday night for under $200 now (or too much hassle-see prior post) I’ve checked for early flights out Friday but they start at 6:30 am which is going to mean 5 hours at airport after DAH plus they are not direct or they are on airlines I refuse to fly. Current flights on SW with a combo of $ and points so can change that easily. The real price difference is in the resort and whether or not I shell out for a DAH ticket.
Value wise I know an extra day gets me more: less money more time. But I like the idea of going to DAH. Originally picked dates I thought would be best for me but I can make Sat to Thurs work too. I just wonder what others would choose.

Depending on how late you can wait to make your flights definite, I would hold off on making a decision. That Thur night could easily become available. If it does, you COULD do Sat-Fri and still do DAH for not much more than you're paying for the original plan. Or you COULD get the discount for your original dates.

I would be calling once every five days or so to see if you can add that Thur night to the discounted stay. Last year we started out in the highest rate of room when we first booked, but I called every week and we ended up in the lowest rate. Things change every day, so I wouldn't give up on that Thur night yet.

You can cover more ground in 3 hours of DAH time than you will in a full day at MK. I would stick with your original M - F plan.
