Just wondering if any one in the parks are reporting crowd increase with the DAH and dvc coming in at 7?

Well we have lanyards instead of wristbands to denote the after hours people. Haven't seen too many but you don't have to wear it until 11. I plan to eat my weight in ice cream and take a case of water if at all possible.

For that p price, i would be too!

So I will report I took advantage of this even to the fullest. I am an ap holder so I booked 6 fastpasses before park close (2 big thunder, 2 space mtn, 1 seven dwarves, and 1 wishes). once 11 hit I rode rides and ate ice cream until I dropped! Ice cream available was the same as the carts during the day. Same with beverages. I walked out with 5 bottles of water for the rest of my trip! Every ride was a true walk on including 7 dwarves. Many you didn't even have to get off to re ride. Was the steep price worth it? I would say yes if you are there for a short period and may not return for a while. I can answer any questions about the event. Saw lots of camera crews filming what I would think is for promo material.

I rode 5 rides between 9-11 pm.
After 11, I rode 15 rides (several were repeats, including 4 on BTMrr Without getting off), I saw 2 princesses, drank 3 beverages and ate 3 ice creams. Every ride was walk on, including 7 dwarfs at 11:30pm, and I was the only person on the bus back to pop at 2:20am. More tomorrow, I need some sleep now.

A few months ago there was a thread that had the price per attraction broken down by how may rides the family was able to do that day. I think they chose the one day price, and IIRC the park as DHS. The OP was pretty disgusted with the value his family got, and then a bunch of us chimed in that parks are not just attractions.

So thinking about that discussion, and then reading your post....if the parks are about the attractions, and if you really want to score a huge benefit from the one day price on a ticket, Holy Value you got! So, for some this is one heck of a good investment. With not too much downside for day guests.

Totally off topic, sorry! You stated that because you are an AP holder you booked 6 fastpasses. Does that mean you booked 3, and then was able to get 3 more, one at a time? Or are AP holders allowed to book more fastpasses initially? We just became Ap holders for the first time and I'm still trying to figure out all the benefits. Thanks!

Seems worth it if you can afford it, or as an alternative to day in the park if you don't mind being up late and having limited selections.

I have no issue with this, as I've said before on these boards..unless it starts cutting into park time of people who can't afford to pay for extra events.

That has always been my position. If this does not disenfranchise the folks who eithe cannot or do not want to participate, I am not upset by it.

I posted this in the other thread, but as a non-emh guest, I didn't notice any increase in crowds after 7. I was averaging about 15 minutes per ride (enter queue to exit ride) throughout the evening, and most of the rides were longer omni/boat rides. I probably could have done more if I had chosen faster rides. Even closer to 11, there wasn't a noticeable number of people with credentials in the parts of the park that I was in.

My biggest worry with the evening was that it would end up like the 3-hour overlap in the fall on party nights, but that wasn't an issue at all

So I booked the event under my other my experience account. I booked 3 fastpasses with my ap and 3 fastpasses with my ticket for the after hours event under the other account. This way I had three to redeem with my ap Magic band and three with the hard ticket.
