have you ever been before?
i think character meals are something you have to grow up loving, IMO
if they are that age & going for the first time , they'll think its lame.
IMO character meals are awsome
Anyway i dont think there is any way to make disney lame, just spend time as a family & do as much as possible!
Sorry to intrude on the teens board but I'm taking my 12 and 14 y/o to WDW and I don't want it to be a lame trip with character meals and boring shows. What activities do you guys suggest?
Character meals are only lame if you go to a restaurant that has characters that you don't like.
As for shows, do some research on some of them. If you're not planning on suprising your kids, then ask them what they're interested in. Not only will they be going somewhere they chose, but they'll also be able to plan the trip. (PS. The Disney freak in me loves planning out shows and meals with my mom.)
I also suggest time to shop, especially if your children have an addiction to shopping. There are stores - EVERYWHERE. Personally, I take my time to browse through most of 'em.
Oh, and go on rides too! Those are also really fun.
like some other people said there are still going to be little kids around eveerryyywhere
no matter if your at character breakfest's or not
they will still be all around
disney world is a family place
theres people of ALL ages
some highlights of my trips are/were:
-rockin roller coaster
-character breakfest's
-prime time 50's
-paradessssssss
-fireworks (cant watch 4th of july firworks anymore cause disney makes them look like crap, nothing compares to magic kingdoms fireworks)
-the buzz lightyear ride
-ALL THE RIDES
Oh, also! the 50's prime-time cafe is amazing! the food is decent, but the experience is really fun. it was the highlight of our trip. the waiters/waitresses are hilarious, and really interactive.
