Great article... glad they got the thief!!

Moral to this story is to never leave your belongings out in the open when you are not right next to them. ;)

We were staying at Wilderness Lodge when this happened, but didn't hear anything about it. Looks like we missed all the excitement since we were at Animal Kingdom that day.

Good work using the technology, though. :thumbsup2

The funny thing is, everytime we went swimming at that pool, I was constantly keeping an eye on our stuff. Something about the way that pool is set up, seems to make me a bit uneasy when we stay there.

:thumbsup2 While I'm glad he had such a great outcome, I'll never understand people who go to the pool area anywhere with more than just their room key and a few other essentials (towel, cover-up, spare swim pants for the kiddos, etc.).

I'm always slightly shocked to read the laundry list of things people carry around with them in the parks at all times - much less leave unattended like that.

Yes, I only take my room key too...and I worry about people taking my shoes!

This is a friend of mine and local news picked it up. Amazing read if you ask me!

Here's a text copy of the article:
And he linked the youtube video of the news package and typed an extended version on his blog here:

That was my first thought when I was reading the article. I am glad it turned out OK, but it really should never have happened at all.

Great that he got his stuff back BUT sad that someone would do that especially at WDW.

I guess I put on my rose colored glasses and think that people wouldn't steal at WDW.
