My father is coming in two days after us and leaving a day before us....he will be "bunking" in the room with us...

We are staying at ASM...

is he eligible for the free transportation to and from the airport on his different dates?

and how does the meal plan work..If my DH and I are on it....can he NOT be on it or be on it for just the days he is in?

Thanks!

In order to use Magical Express your name must be on the room reservation. So unless you have him officially added to your reservation he can not use ME. And everyone booked in the room must be on the same package with dining. I am not sure how that would work if he was arriving a few days later though-- you may have to just go ahead and pay for the days that he isn't there and then you could take advantage of the extra credits to eat at a Signature Dining location.

So you have advantages and disadvantages to following the rules. With him registered he can use the transportation. But there is also an additional charge for each adult after 2 in the room. By not following the rules and leaving him off the reservation you won't have to add the dining plan for his use if he doesn't want it, but you can't add it if he does.

If you are planning to take advantage of any of the Extra Magic Hours either before or after the park closes he won't be able to participate if he is NOT on the room reservation because he won't have a room key.

Additionally if it is found out that you have an unregistered guest in your room Disney can ask you all to leave (or more likely just pony up the extra money!). If you also have children with you (sorry, didn't notice if you said you did) and already have 4 in the room then adding him as a 5th (unregistered) would be illegal and would result in greater consequences if discovered since just paying the extra adult supplement is not an option.

Thank you thank you!

Oh wow! I didn't think of all these other factors. Thank you for bringing them to my attention! I guess I would want to have him reg bec I am sure he would want to do the extra hours at the park!

Do you know how much extra is the extra adult! We have a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old in addition to my DH and myself..so I guess he wold be the "5th" guest!

hmmmm!

I think since you have little ones that they may allow a 5th if it is an infant (your 1 year old) but I honestly can't remember. You should ask on our Resorts Board, or the Disney for Families board. I am also not sure of the extra adult supplement-- I know it went up a while back so I want to say it is around $20 per night but I am not positive. Again, the Resorts Board can probably help you out with that.

It also might just be best to call Disney Reservations directly and ask them about all this. You don't have to give your name if you are worried about them connecting things to you. Just tell them you want to ask a few questions because you are thinking of planning a trip and then ask about all these variables.
