DA Pins

did the initial hype wear down or did I just log in at the right time? I went in just now and there were 16 pins listed. I was able to get an "angry Mickey" LE 250, and 2 different Minnie Mouse (LE 250) pretty easily. they were very cute IMO. I am debating just keeping them for my collection or using them as traders on my trip in January!

I also saw that DA is giving away FREE tickets to the Haunted Mansion movie with "every completed auction purchase" while supplies last. I wonder if this means I will get 3 free movie passes (or just one) if combine the auctions for shipping..... that would be an AWESOME deal then!!!!!

In the past any freebies I have received was per order. (Not individual purchase.) I am guessing the completed purchase is the checkout purchase, to them. If you paid for separate shipments, paying separate shipping charges, then you will probably receive a ticket per shipment. With combined shipping into one shipment I think you will get one ticket.
But I could be wrong....
I think DA pins are great and are popular. But I have read many collectors feel Disney has saturated the market with them.
I think it will be like any trade -- just being at the right place at the right time.
I don't think you could go wrong -- even if you used your extras as traders for other DA pins you didn't buy.

It is definitely one free ticket per checkout -- not per item.

The pins that are available today are the last of these pins. They have been listed several times in various batch sizes.

Based on the fact that these are the leftovers from the initial onslaught of P.I.N.S., one might conclude that these are the least popular of this first group. However, I do not know that this is an indication of the popularity of any of these individual pins in the long run. I think we are still very much in the <i>wait and see</i> phase of DA P.I.N.S.

In addition to what may be left on eBay at this time, there was one new release this morning. LE 250, Mickey and Goofy -- Take a look at item # 2201993665. In my opinion, a very cute pin.

Personally, I have already traded several of the DA P.I.N.S., and received many offers (through Pinpics) too. Naturally, the offers are all over the place in equitability, but that is always true with Pinpics TA trade offers.

Of course, like any pin trader, <i>the value is in the eye of the beholder.</i>
