D7000 q's and 50mm replacement q

Hi all

Mostly a lurker on here but i was hoping some of you might be able to help as i really respect your photography knowledge and opinions.

I have a D80 and am hankering after a D7000 (don't want to go full frame yet). Can anyone confirm a couple of things for me about the D7000...

1) What's the battery life like - is it typical LiON battery of a few days at the parks type of use. (Figuring out if i need one or two spare batteries)

2) When shooting Raw and JPEG (max quality jpeg) at the same time,how many shots does the d7000 display reckon you can get on a particular size memory card? (answers on any size will help as i can calculate the "average" per GB).

For example, my D80 says i can get 200 or so on my 4GB cards (even if it turns out to be higher in reality). (Trying to figure out how many new and bigger cards i need for my WDW and DCL trip in March/April)

3) Can i assume the camera comes with a battery charger?

4) I'm intending to give my D80, kit lens and my nifty fifty f/1.8 to my sister. I have a 30mm f/1.4 already and when i've needed low light shots (e.g. pirates/haunted mansion) i use the 30mm in preference to the 50mm for the extra stop. Should i get the nikon 50mm f/1.4?

5) Finally, is the D7000 really worth it, especially coming from a D80. As i said i have no particular interest in full frame at this time, so its d7000 or wait for next yrs replacement.

I don't use the D7000, but I do know that over the D80, the ISO performance will be MUCH better. The D90 was better than the D80 and the D7000 is even better. Metering is also improved as has the auto focus. Is it worth the upgrade? That's up to each individual and how happy/unhappy they are with the current camera.

I've noticed that battery life has improved with Nikon's batteries though the years. IIRC, the D7000 uses a newer battery that has improved quite a bit since the D80 came out.

Files on the D7000 will be larger, so on the same card you'll get less than the D80, but SD cards are VERY inexpensive. I recently bought an 8GB SDHC card for my video camera for $12.

If you have the 30mm f/1.4 and really like it, then I would hold off on a 50mm f/1.4 until/if you eventually go to a FF body. The 30mm is a great fit on the 1.5x crop body and the 50mm f/1.4 is pretty expensive.

I have one spare battery and I've yet to have to use it. The new EN-EL15 lasts a long time!

I use twin 8-GB class 10 SDHC cards, but now I only shoot 14-bit RAW (which are pretty large). I have one card setup to backup to the other, so I don't use one as overflow for the other. I think I get a bit more than a couple hundred shots.
