As I said- vote now for the Nikon D40 vs. D300...

Or maybe I should say D40 w/18-135 vs. the D300 w/70-300 VR...

Or better yet- I should call this JPG vs. RAW.... or Straignt from the Camera vs Processed in CS3...

No wait- maybe i will call this the 7 year old daughter vs. the 38 year old dad- but lets not even go there... :rolleyes1

Anyway- take a vote- I already know which one I like better. Peeking at the EXIF before you vote is cheating. ;)

At least you know you have someone to pass the old stuff down to.

I certainly like #1 better. Guessing here, but I would have to say that she did a great job! Why did you spend so much on the D300? :lmao:

Like and dislikes of a photograph can be so subjective. I was drawn to #2 and liked that photo better.

I like one better, it looks more natural to me I think thats why.

I went with #1. It looks a bit sharper, I like the exposure of #1 overall a little better, though the bird in #2 is exposed better IMO, but it dosen't look as sharp.

Looks like you've got some good friendly competition in the family there Jeff. :thumbsup2

My vote goes to number one as well. If number two is the product of the D300, then it is obviously deeply flawed -- nay, dangerous, even. I think that for maximum safety, you should send it to me ASAP, before it kills (another photo) again! Only I have a foolproof method for disposing of it. Don't think -- send it NOW!

Need my address? ;)

i really like parts of both but voted for one overall. imo the bird in one is a little to dark but sharper and the back between the shoulders on two is a little to light even though imo the color is overall better..i like the reflection on 2 better. however, if your seven yr old did one she did a great job and you better lock up that d300 or it might find it's way into her hands soon :) :)( my exif stuff is not working so i don't know)

What Handicap 18 said....LOL
Now, how do I find the Exif data since I already voted?
