OK I’m kind of mad about this… that’s what I thought too and I didn’t see it at 4am. Just got here and they still have a VQ section for MoG and I’m being told they did that one at 2am. WHAT? They wouldn’t let me get in line and they’re handing out wristbands. I asked how we were supposed to figure that out and was told well look at everyone who did as she shrugged at me.

Is it for regular MOG or the pin shop? The pin shop is on VQ for the whole weekend.

That’s so bizarre it’s not on the VQ list and the VQ button was removed on the D23 app from the shop last night.

I was excited I got group 6 for MoG pins. Got to central/grand plaza entrance at 7:20 and basically no security line and waltzed into Hall D.

Excitedly looked for the holding area… and it’s for boarding groups 1-5 only. Ughhh. Missed by 1. So now I have to be in the general line.

That was a rough VQ attempt for me this morning, I kept getting an error when attempting to join the queue and ended up getting boarding group 182 for D23 Marketplace. My friend did better at group 74 and another friend errored and missed out on the company store. I don't usually get errors when attempting VQs for the parks, so something must be wonky on the backend.

SAME for two mornings in a row now! I tried for D23 Marketplace this morning and got errors and ended up with group 157. I'm so annoyed!

I’m being told they did that one at 2am.

Of they did, that's just wrong. I read the fine print again last night and checked all over social to see if I could confirm VQ plans and it was not out there on any official channels.

I didn’t end up actually wanting anything at the D23 marketplace so I was hoping to find something there. This expo is kind of turning into a bummer. No little swags from either panel either and entertainment just had the pack of playing cards. I guess it doesn’t matter that I’m flying home - luggage will be light at this rate!

Right? How did they know?! If it was 4am at least I’d get it. The signs all say “-“ instead of a number as well. It just smacks of fish.

My main priority this morning was trying to standby the world’s fair and get these hallmark ornaments signed if their booth is light so I dont have that hanging over my head until this afternoon. I figured if I could get in a shortish line I’d maybe pivot… Oh well.

They had a staff member scanning badges and handing out wristbands. She wouldn’t let me in that line. I mean I didn’t push beyond arguing about it being unfair since they didn’t put it out in the app or anything but she was right at that spot & was adamant.

Now I just sit in the general queue and I guess head over to MoG Pins when it opens and lurk near the entrance for them to expand to BG6.

She may have meant that they moved them to be in front of the hall c doors. They moved us yesterday right around 8am.

No worries. I get the same feeling at this point! And they did use the basement last year. Doesn’t seem like it this year?

I’m worried cause I want to go to the Grey’s Anatomy panel at 10:15 on standby. Hoping it won’t draw too much interest and I can get in/out of pin store and get in via standby line. Oh well.

I hope it goes quickly for you!! Each stage has a separate area for their standby but you have to get in first. They’re on the app map. Reports are it’s been easy to get into panels so far as standby but signings have been rougher.

No we asked because we are also going standby to the greys panel and they said to line up for the show floor. Of course, if we’d asked 10 different people we would have gotten 10 answers

It took awhile yesterday too… but maybe they’re trying extra hard to not have a dangerous rush again and trickling even slower now. That crush of people and the brilliant moment where they decided to get rid of the pin line around 1 or 130 in D23 Marketplace were… intense. I couldn’t get out and just started passing pins back until folk let me squeeze by.
