D23 subscription and sneaky Disney Store shipping trick

So my D23 subscription was due for renewal last week and you order it through the Disney Store. It's about the only time I'll stomach the shipping rates since I really love the glossy mags.

After I added my renewal to the cart I thought I'd test what happened when I added more things. I added four additional items (I didn't test more as that's all I wanted) and the shipping remained the same. The new D23 membership pack isn't due for almost a month but I just got my little bundle of extra goodies without having to pay any additional shipping!

Just wanted to share for any other D23 subscribers.

Just tried this and it didn't work for me... postage kept going up and up.

Hmmm, I just played around a little and it appears that maybe they've tried closing the loop hole? I can get a t-shirt and some boardies in without it going up but if I add another item it jumps to the next level. I could add 9 towels and a back pack before it jumped up again and it still worked out a saving of around $30 USD on postage once I removed the D23 membership but not as good as last week's efforts.
