...ARE INCREDIBLE.
I'm sure that they have been beatin' to death on these boards, but I haven't seen anything about them and had to comment on them just in case some Disney fans out there either hadn't heard of D23 or maybe has heard of it but really isn't sure as to what it is.
As for D23 the community, it's probably pretty cool but I have held out a long time on actually joining, even now as I write this I am not a member. You can get discounts and certificates and promos, all that stuff we like and I believe it's seventy-five dollars a year.
In my opinion though, the best part about the membership is the quarterly publications, which are self-titled "D23". They have incredible pictures including concept art for things that are going to happening at Disney and the likes(i.e. the MAJOR rennovations planned for DCA and Toy Story 3)! Also, they have great stories, obscure facts, and are everything a Disney nerd like me could ever dream of!
I bought two from my local Disney store (The publication is $15.95 so I'm still saving like ten dollars to just buy the publications and not become a member, because currently I don't need a certificate that tells me I receive the publication.)
I'm assuming it's worth it but are there any D23 members out there that can really give me some actual example on how being a member and not just buying these awesome magazines would be beneficial?
