Well - i got my D23 membership email and i can't believe they want 74.99 dollars to join. In todays economic climate i am very disappointed, what a let down all that anticipation was....never mind.
I found out details yesterday with a bit of Googling then Disney insider sent me email thru the night http://disney.go.com/inside/mainattraction/090311/index.html
Never been one for joining clubs and paying membership fees but $75 Not a chance from this family.
It does seem a little excessive for little reward.
Especially as it seems to give you the 'unique' oportunity to spend even more on merchandise.
Think I may give this a miss also.
I've joined today it said the postage was free until the final page That's a lot of money for standard postage to the UK, our postage is way cheaper to go to USA At least it's going to be my Mothers Day Gift and Birthday present combined. Waiting to see for myself what it's like.
Actually the online features are really great I've just spent 30 minutes reading some articles there very interesting stuff and in some chronological order too.
There is a section with old cartoon strips and info on old film productions and designers accomplishments. It's a real shame they won't ship to the UK though there are some lovely art pieces on sale and I've got to say I love the pins and T-shirts. Guess I'll just have to get them when we're there in September. The website will keep my interested and I'll still be looking forward to the magazine arriving I think it's being posted from California given the time difference on the website when it was ordered. Will let you know what I think once I've read it, may even put it in a folder/ box file to keep it in good nick.
Update:-
My membership pack shipped this morning at 2.08 a.m. it's on it's way
