D23 Members get final ride on DL Star Tours

On July 14, members of D23 (which is the prestige, dues-membership fan club launched by Disney last year) will be offered a free and final ride on "Star Tours" before the doors get locked. The first 160 members who sign up that morning will get spots on the last run of the "Star Tours" starspeeders, which will be after-hours on the night of July 26.

What a great perk, and how cool to be able to experience it for the very last time after hours! Makes me wish I was a D23 member. I bet the spots will fill up so quickly.

I am still sad in my heart over the change happening with Star Tours. I just hope they do something great.

How long are the lines getting for Star Tours now? We'll be there July 22-24 and would like to get one last ride in before it leaves.

Last time I was there (Fathers' Day weekend), we walked directly to the loading area. Been the same experience every time I've gone this year. YMMV now that it's getting near the end.
