Anyone buy the D23 Membership Exclusive Limited Edition ''In the Company of Legends'' Puzzle Pin? I did and then I promptly got a refund. The pin was discolored and tarnished. It doesn't appear that Disney had anyone providing quality control on this "limited edition" pin. No wonder the limited edition of 750 hasn't sold out yet!

I found the same thing with the pin that I ordered. I wasn't happy. Until I just read your post, it didn't occur to me to ask for a refund. Now, you have me thinking. Maybe, I will. Did you email them or call them? Is there a phone number or something? Any help is appreciated.

Tarnished on the back? The front of ours is fine, looks great...I think the packaging was pretty bad, but, we enjoyed it...

I e-mailed customer service to provide them with my feedback and they provided refund instructions. All you need to do is mail the pin back in the original packaging (if you have it) along with the order slip. I mailed it back via UPS and received my refund within 4 days.

Glad to hear that your pin was fine. The front of the pin which is supposed to be outlined in gold was discolored. If you look at the pin image on disneystore.com you'll see what I mean. I sent it back and will not order another one.

I emailed Disney about my pin and explained the discoloration, gunk-like stuff on it, and incomplete glossy finish. I asked for instructions on returning it. They sent me an email back and said that the look of my pin was intentional, as they were trying to give it an antique look. They did not offer to refund it if I wasn't satisfied. To me, it looks like a production error. I'm wondering if I should pursue this and demand a refund. I wouldn't be so upset if this was a regular pin, but I paid $100 for this one and it looks like cr*p.

Has it been over 30 days since your purchase? Following is the excerpt from the e-mail I received,

"DisneyStore.com will gladly exchange or credit your purchase of
*DisneyStore.com merchandise returned within 30 days of the shipping
date, excluding shipping and handling charges (art and collectible
purchases must be returned in their original packaging within 30 days of
shipping date and must include the original Packing Slip). "

I returned my pin within a week and didn't have any problems. You should pursue either a refund or store credit. You shouldn't have to keep a pin that is defective.

Maybe it is intentional.....Jess and I were talking, and we said the SAME THING...It was done to give it an antique look, since there is SO much in the pin itself.......

So the pin has not sold out and it seems some are bing returned... Here is a pin that will become a collectors item. If you want the set and a good portion are returned and never see the light of day again.... Hmmm

The D23 pin that I ordered (Jaq sleeping in Cinderella's shoe) was so jagged around the edges that I actually sliced my finger open. What's going on with their quality control I wonder?
