D23 gold- worth the price?

I was thinking of getting my husband a D23 gold membership for Father's Day but not sure if it is worth $75. We live in Ohio so will most likely not be able to attend D23 events but he loves Disney history & all the details behind the magic so I think he would really like the magazine. TIA.

I'm a first day charter gold member and love the club. I believe the magazine is no longer going to be available in stores and that the only way to get the magazine is to be a gold member. He will love the magazine, I'm sure. They are also rolling out a members only section of the website which sounds interesting. I live in New Mexico and have been to all the Expos, 2 Destination Ds and Carsland pre opening dinner with John Lasseter. All so very worth every penny.
