Ok another Disneyland question. Extra Magic Hour at California Adventure is 7am. If we want to get in and head to Mission Break Out with a shortish wait what time should leave the Disneyland hotel. I remember with DL since it has magic morning and EMH it eas pointless but seeing as CA is EMH only hoping that extra hour lets us get that ride nocked out but don't want to lose to much time in the turnstile plaza mess.

I found the info on the DIS meet-up on Facebook. I know someone had asked a few pages back. Not sure if it was announced here or not. Meet up Thursday night at 8PM at the NFuse bar at the Marriott. Anyone planning on going?

That was me -- thanks for the info! I get in at 7pm that night, so hopefully I can swing by.

I'd leave at 6 to allow time for security and walking to the gates. I was there about a month ago, not an EMH day. Was out front 45 min before Park opening. They started letting people,in 30 min early. They had two lines forming at the end of Buena Vista street towards Hollywood Blvd. The line off the fountain in the middle of,Hollywood blvd, where there is normally the rope, was the fast pass line. Stick close along the buildings on the left on Buena VIsta St &'right before they curve to,the left towards ELias & Co was the start of the stand by line,,which wound around by Monsters Inc & then through the waiting area for the Hyperion theatre. Be sure you are in the line you want to be in.

Going right at opening, to the stand by line, we started in line as soon as they opened which was 30 min before Park opening, when they usually held people by fountain area. We were on the ride less than 30 min after official park opening time.

Two rumor round-ups on what we may or may not hear at the Parks panel on Saturday:

Note: MiceAge is reporting there will be a Fantasmic soft launch on Saturday night.

Hmm, I'm doubtful the soft openings will happen at all. There is a lot that goes that into putting Fantasmic logistically-wise, and with the grand re-opening having been touted for Disneyland's birthday, why would they take that away with a soft opening/showing?

Regardless, I will still be very tired from the expo so I won't be looking into watching it anyway. If it does happen it just means i'll have to stop looking at Twitter earlier than I planned to keep myself from getting spoiled until I watch it in person.

If someone you trust has access to your house, have them FedEx your wallet to your hotel. Tell the front desk staff that you are expecting an important package. Ask to be alerted as soon as it arrives. This happened to a family member before we left on a cruise (um... yes, you are going to need your i.d.). The wallet was at the front desk the next morning. Totally worth the overnight fee to avoid the stress and worry.

Crisis averted!

Luckily, my mom was pet sitting. She sent it overnight AM through UPS and it was waiting at the front desk at 7 this morning.

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice!

Had some cocktails at Trader Sam's, picked up the two exact Small World mystery pins I wanted with my only box purchase and had some pixie dust treats delivered courtesy of the Front Desk Cast Members at the hotel...so far our Expo experience has been stellar! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you've had a great time already! What is your guys' schedule like tomorrow?

I was talking to a cast member today about the expo/my first time in USA and they responded with "and Fantasmic starts this weekend"... but that could still mean Monday I guess or they could be wrong haha

I also won't be doing the parks after expo days. I imagine I'll be thinking about bed a long time before I get there.

Went through both parks today. Trying to end relatively early so we can be up bright and early for Goofy's Kitchen then Sorcerers fun.

dos anyone know if you can bring the foldable camping chairs that fit in the long bag for the overnight queue? Thanks

@ashley0139 Check-in is at 9:30am, then we meet in the lounge for a welcome. If I remember correctly the stores open for shopping at staggered intervals after that, with tour options of the floor and the Broadway pavilion. We get a dinner break at 5pm, but should be back for the Pirate Reception at the ACC by 7pm.

My understanding is that it has to fit in a backpack. I bought some on Amazon that fold up into 14 inches long.

Maybe I'll run into you today.
