D23 expo & Disney gift cards

When you say "to spend at the Expo," on what specifically? Food? Souvenirs? Admission tickets? Different things are run by different entities. That's why I am asking.

I was mostly thinking about the shops - big ticket items and such......

I looked in the Things to Know and didn't see anything about gift cards. It's possible the Dream Store and the official Disney booths *might* take them, but I would think the smaller pop-up shops (Sephora) or the Collectors Forum would NOT take the gift cards, since they are essentially not Disney outlets.

You could always email D23 guest relations to ask them.

The issue would be if they saw something they really wanted and then didn't have a way to buy! I know the Disney Info Desk sold them the last time, but....?

It would probably be better to go with a Visa/MasterCard(/Amex/Discover) gift card, that way everybody will take them.

You might run into some issues. My understanding is that not all the shopping is run by Disney. I think a Visa gift card would be much safer.
