New IP that is being created out of nothing. A vast majority of what we consider to be "Disney" is not a remake but a completely new movie that we have not heard of before.
As for pure Disney I am very excited for the WDI series. There is also some new Pixar stuff and a new animated shorts series where animators get to show off their talents in various ways.As a Star Wars/Marvel fan there is hype. That being said if I think as just a simple Disney fan there is zero hype from today. There is zero animation options on Disney Plus being released.
Disney from my view is known for their kids animated movies and shows. There was not even a hint of anything today that I caught.
just access to their extensive library.

I'm curious why it bothers you so much. Honestly, you're a Disney Fan because you enjoy things that the DISNEY company makes/produces. It doesn't matter if its Pixar, Marvel, the Walt Disney animation studio, Fox, Blue Sky studios or Marvel. So as a Disney fan what has you hyped? Not a Star Wars or Marvel fan but a Disney fan and yes they are separate groups otherwise I guess Simpsons are viewed as "Disney" announcement now.

Because 10 years ago I got Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Fox, and Lucas Arts all producing great content. These days it seems Disney will drop $200m in Star Wars, $100m in Marvel, and $1m in Disney animation.
I just look at all the money they are investing and get sad more isnt going to Pixar and the animation studios.

Lizzie McGuire too. There were lots of family oriented shows and movies, though not much of it animated. The Forky shorts, the Phineus and Ferb movie, and the marvel What If I think we're the only animated stuff. 4-5 family movies were announced though.

You know, I’m pretty meh on the park announcements and bracing myself for Sunday to see how different Epcot will be...
But WOW am I ever excited for Disney+. I can’t remember the last time I looked at something Disney did and thought wow, they are absolutely hitting this one out of the park. And at an affordable price point too. This is all a trap, isn’t it? They’re roping us all in lol.
And I’m way more excited than anyone has the right to be for Lizzie McGuire. Epcot who??
I’m someone that has a hard time accepting Marvel and Star Wars under the Disney umbrella. They’re just not Disney to me.
But I’m fine ignoring them and am anticipating that the “pure Disney” stuff on the service will make that easy enough. I would probably be hyped up for this service without any Disney+ exclusive content, and just access to their extensive library.
I am here for the new Muppets shorts that have been announced for Disney Plus. While The Dark Crystal on the other service is a definite must watch - to have actual Muppet content on Disney Plus is a big win for me.
If they bring back The Jim Henson Hour, original Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock and the Wonderful World of Disney original episodes - I will go into a cave of hibernation furnished by Disney.
So for those interested in Disney Plus - they announced D23 members can sign up for $140.97 for 3 years (23 dollars off per year). We signed up at the Expo, but you DON'T have to be at the EXPO. And some people were saying that you can sign up for the FREE D23 and still get the Discounted rate. (Though I do not know for sure if this is true - but what I heard.)
We have Stagepass for Movies tomorrow and Parks on Sunday - so I'll keep posting updates if I can - they were allowing photos but no videos at Disney+. Posted some photos on my instagram - Skierpete23 - if anyone wants to follow along. Don't typically have great seats though with stagepass since Gold queue gets in first.
