Things to keep in mind with Disney preventing anyone from recording the panels (this happens with Comic Con too):

1. People pay a lot of money to get to see this stuff in advance and if footage leaks out, that reduces the value of the experience. Leaked trailers were a major issue with Comic Con for a bit because people would wait in ridiculous lines to see a new Marvel trailer that was meant for only the audience, only to see it leak out almost immediately after the panel ended. I personally wouldn't wait in those lines under any circumstance but if you knew stuff would leak out, you're less likely to want to go to those panels.
2. By preventing people from recording and releasing leaks, Disney controls the roll-out to everyone else. You'll get high quality video direct from the company instead of shakycam from someone in the audience
3. Journos can post about the panels but as far as I know, they can't record and publish leaks, so you'll get news but any sneak peeks are for the audience only, keeping the value of going to these things
