Now I really want to change from the Hilton to another more "Disney like" hotel. We didn't do a ton of reasearch when we booked but I am realizing now that you HAVE to.

So, the Dolphin is booked for our dates (10/15-10/21). What are some other hotels that are closer to activities than the Hilton that may still be available? Somemeting around $230 a night? It seems that all WDW properties are booked which is not so surprising - I am just hopeing we can find something.

Obviously when we book our next trip we will do so with much more advanced notice!

Thanks for all the great advice!

There is room at the All stars Music 732.48 for all 6 nights. I tried all 3 moderates for you, but they are full, or only have some of the night available. :(

I'm not sure I'm reading your post correctly but if you are looking for something off-site, last night I noticed that the Sheraton Safari Hotel is offering a special and it looks like a pretty cool hotel with a themed pool. Regular rooms were priced around $49 and suites were $99. I tried finding the info again but I don't remember exactly where it is - I was hopping around on the boards - Hope you find something!:D

Port orleans riverside does have rooms available the 15-19 and the rates are well within your 230 max a night.

Maybe you could do POR then switch over to AMu?

Or Animal Kingdom Lodge for $266 a night, it's open for the entire length of stay.

Gosh - this board has been a lifesaver. I will look into POR and AKL (I am thinking AKL will be perfect) ... can I ask if you are checking these rates and availability on a Disney site or Expedia etc...?

Thanks for such wonderful advice!!!

Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs are also moderates that should be reasonable.

I just checked your dates, and DreamRes is showing availability for both the Swan & Dolphin, so I'd recommend booking through them - there is a link from the main Dis page - under "hotel discounts".
