After a last minute change of plan, our flight to Orlando was booked just 3 weeks in advance. We chose to go charter as the scheduled prices were sky high - we'll have to pay for our wine, moaned DH. At least we have a direct flight I retorted. Check -in at Glasgow went well, the MyTravel flight was on time and we left shortly after 10.30 on Sept 11th.
Congrats to MYTravel - ok it might not have been the comfiest seat in the world and my " window " seat, row 11 never actually existed - but the crew could not have been more friendly. We flew Qantas twice in the past couple of years to the Far East and quite frankly could show them a thing or too.We saw 3 films on the way out - Finding Nemo, The Italian Job and Down With Love - no seat back tv, but a good clear view of the overhead screen. DH and I decided on a bottle of champagne to celebrate the start of our holiday and the crew kept it nicely chilled until we were ready to drink it. The meal consisted of chicken and veg, small dessert and biscuits and cheese. Typical airline fodder! There was a snack later of juice and a boost bar!! The captain came over the tannoid several times throughout the flight to keep you informed which is always reassuring.
We finally landed at 1,30pm local time - an hour early.
There was a huge queue going through passport control, but it didn't seem to take very long. Our cases were quick in coming out and we then headed to book the Coach USA bus. $80 return for the 2 of us.
We did have to wait a while though before the bus set off - Mears do seem to be much more efficient. We finally left at 3.30pm. After dropping of most of the coach passengers we made it yo our hotel about 4.45pm
