D.J. Pricing

Hi all!
I was just wondering if anybody had or is having the D.J for an outside reception? If so, how much was it after all the lighting and staging costs? I just recieved an estimate for about 4,400 dollars. That seems steep to me, so I was just wondering whether this was around the right amount or not!! Also, other then the D.J what types of entertainment would you recommend?

kinda unclear on your ? do you mean an outside dj from the ones disney provide, for an outside reception like at epcot or for a dj for a area wedding in florida not with disney?

disney can provide disc jockeys for your dftw for $1300 which is based on 4hours per their website & whats written on my estimate. not sure if theres additional charges for an outside reception like at epcot. if youre having an outside dj from the ones dftw provides i know there is a charge for electrical usage, etc.

if youre not having a dftw i would look into the central florida vendors list on http://www.theknot.com/vs_CENTRAL_FLORIDA_ENT.shtml for some area djs.

Sorry about that! Yes, an outside reception at MGM studios through DFTW! So, would it be 1300 per hour of the four? or just 1300? I thought it was this much, but i didn't know if there were any hidden charges that would make it go up to 4,400! Thank you!

The $4,400 you were quoted sounds like its in line with quotes other brides have received for an outside reception at MGM. The price is higher because of the extra set up that they have to do.
