D-Day for MK, FP+ only

So, today is the day. Anyone at MK today...let us know how things are going with FP+ only.

Just a little information on what Disney ISN'T saying. I called on Monday to make room reservations for a May trip. Among other things the CM told me we'd have an opportunity to customize magic bands. Told her we weren't going to do that. She said we'd receive gray ones. Okay, fine. Then she said about reserving fast passes ahead of our trip. Told her we weren't going to do that either. She mentioned that Animal Kingdom didn't have the regular fast passes any more. SHE DID NOT even suggest that any other park wouldn't have. I knew what I'd read on here but didn't say anything at all to her about it either.
She said we'd have the opportunity to schedule fast passes after arrival. Also said that the concierge desk would be able to do that for us??? We're staying at the Caribbean.
Told her we were just going to wing it and see how that goes.

this is going to be an absolute mess. From folks not being able to get the app working (especially iOS users) to the consistent downtime of the entire system this will not work. Disney is not equipped for the lines at the kiosks and a non-working system. Expect a lot of hand written fast passes to be given out today. When I was there last week the cast members had little idea how to handle the downed app.

I don't think there was any option. FP+ and FP- can't coexist together eternally, and they've invested WAY too much money in to FP+ to back away from it now.

The 11th hour was months ago when they started pulling KTTW cards from resorts and FP- from AK.

There's no stopping the runaway train now. It's coming. I just hope the train picks up the pace already so it can finally crash and repairs can be made.

After spending over $1 billion on this project, there is not going to be any "come to their senses" moments. Disney is "pot committed" with this endeavor.

I haven't read anywhere, but are all four parks FP+ attractions grouped in different tiers now? Or just Epcot and Hollywood Studios?

Thanksgiving week, we stayed at CBR. I was trying to change the fastpass times on my laptop to work with our dinner reservations, got frustrated and went to get help at the concierge desk. It was quite a wait in line but the CM was most helpful.

So if you do not mind waiting in line to get your passes to not wait in line, see concierge!
