D Batteries In France

Hi

We are just finishing our packing and realised that air pumps D batteries has run out. We cant find our spare batteries, because it is a Sunday and we need to leave at 04:30 I dont think we will have time to but them before we leave.

Does France sell D batteries or are they unique to this country? Sorry to be thick, but I have never bought batteries abroad before.

I'm pretty sure that all of eurpoe have the same size & type of batteries but I think they're called slightly different things (which is why all duracel batteries seem to have 10 names on them. I think your best bet is to take the old battery and wave it around at a french person (obviously in a shop) and they should point you in the right direction!
