I'd ask around August 1 as they tend to plan about 2 weeks ahead.

We called the number listed on Cypress Pointe's website. We had wanted a middle floor (not top or ground) and we got it. We called a few days before. We also had 2 weeks booked instead of the usual 1, and we wanted to make sure we'd get to keep the same unit for both weeks, and they assured us we would. They were very nice and helpful.

We asked for a quiet location. We specified somewhere not overlooking the pool and an end unit if possible. We got it.

Thanks, as I`m in the UK do you think an e`mail would be OK, or from experience do you think a phonecall is best.

I called them, but I'm sure an email would be just as good.

I called about a week to 10 days ahead of time, and my requests were honored. I had 3 units and wanted them all ground floor and near each other. All of them were ground floor. Two of them were side by side with the third one in the next building (which was extremely close and very satisfactory).

We have stayed here a few times and have rang Cypress Pointe direct and requested rooms. They are really nice and helpful.

I called the resort about a week before our trip in May. I wanted a ground floor unit. The phone rep was really friendly and told me that she would put it in the system. We received a ground floor and had a wonderful stay.

When you call Cypress Pointe, make sure you ask for the front desk to get your request in. That's what I have always done and it's worked like a charm!

DW, DS, and me are checking into Cypress Pointe for the first time on August 11 also, Katies Dad . We were a bit nervous about it, but after reading all the posts on DIS we can't wait to go. It sure seems like a nice place with a great location.
