Anyone been recently and know what kind of coffee makers in the full kitchen units? Example, Kuerig k cup, cone filter small or large regular filter? Thanks

We stayed there in July 2014 and there was a 12-cup drip coffeemaker there. It was either a Mr. Coffee or Procter Silex. Regular filter but I bought the coffee filter packs and they worked out well. We had the 3BR lock off and really enjoyed the unit. Have a good trip!

Thank you We can't wait!

You're welcome! I should have suggested that you call and request an updated unit if you haven't already done so. I think most units should be updated at this point but it doesn't hurt to make sure you are getting the best unit you can. I called about 2 weeks ahead of time and requested an updated unit on a top floor. There are no elevators there but I'm not a fan of hearing people walk above me. We ended up with a 2nd floor updated unit but never heard a peep from our upstairs neighbors but I'm not sure if the unit was empty or not. I doubt if it was because the parking lot was full. Being on the 2nd floor there was only 1 flight of stairs to walk up so it was perfect.

We are going again in 2 weeks but there were no available units at Cypress Pointe for our dates. I would have returned if I could. Great location, too!

We stayed here in one of the smaller two bedrooms the week before Christmas week Dec. 2014. We loved it. They have done a nice job with the remodeling and the common area is wonderful for extended family visiting. The master bedroom is huge too. I had the smaller room with a double. I have to say, though, that the way they built the closet into the wall, etc. they did an impressive job to utilize this small space as well as possible. It's way more functional that it was before when they had the two small twins. DH stayed home, as he doesn't care for Orlando, so it was me and my 19 year old meeting up with my parents and my 21 year old nephew who lives and works in Orlando. DS had they hydabed and found it quite comfortable and my parent had the lovely master. // I was extremely happy here. I'm glad another poster answered your coffee question, as I don't remember as I'm not a coffee drinker. Enjoy!

Glad you got the answer, I was just excited to see this post because we check in a week from Friday! The parking being full scares me a bit when returning from a long park day but nothing we can do I guess?!

We love Cypress pointe and grande villas as well. Spent lots of vacations there. I agree the parking is a nightmare anytime after 5 or 6. We have had to park in the maintenance spots plenty of times. We got to the point we hated leaving in the evening because we knew it would be hard to find parking. But we still love it. We tend to do 2 or 3 night stays here then we go to Orange Lake for our longer stay. As our girls get older, resorts with more amenities are what we are after.

Hopefully, you won't have too much of a problem with parking. One of our issues was that we had 2 cars. We stayed at one end of the resort where the parking lot ended so that was a bit congested. Most of the time, we all piled in one car since we weren't going far to make parking easier when we returned. We were able to park but just had to walk a bit more to get to our unit. It was a fantastic resort and we really loved it. We will be in Orlando from July 5 -12 so we will be there for some of the same time! We are at Star Island Resort this time because we couldn't get a 3BR at Cypress Pointe this year. Star Island has some iffy reviews but I'm not too hard to please and we will be at the parks most of the time anyway. We just need a place to recharge between parks!

Yes, we are at Cypress July 3-10 and shame on us, we do have a 3 bedroom but the other family (5) decided after we booked to stay on site and I didn't have the heart to tell MIL who got us the 3 bedroom that they backed out on us soooo we have one for just the 3 of us (me & 13 year old twins). Guess we will have plenty of space lol!!! Thanks for the parking info, we will just have one car and will hope for the best. Hope you have a great trip!

Just be careful around Star Island....I haven't stayed there but have been past that location several times and that area has gotten super sketchy. I hope it is fine for you.
A 3 BDRM for 3 of, you will be lost.

Thank you for the heads up. I hope all will go well. We will be super careful. We did an RCI exchange and pickings were slim. Star Island's tripadvisor reviews are all over the place but the RCI Reviews were 99% positive. Unfortunately, DH isn't coming with us this time so I'm already on high alert. I don't worry about anything when he's around. It will be me, my mom and 3 teens.

We are going to Cypress Pointe for the first time July 25th - Aug 1 . We stayed at the Grand villas 2 years ago and enjoyed it . My mother found a great timeshare deal at Cypress , so we rolled the dice and purchased. i am wondering if there is a regular forum of Cypress owners that any of you know about ?

We stayed at Cypress Pointe Resort last summer for 3 weeks and it was great. We didn't have a car, so being able to walk to restaurants and a supermarket was great. We took a cab back to the resort from the supermarket because we had so many bags, but if you only have a bag or two, it is a short walk. The walk to Joe's Crab Shack wasn't bad and the food was awesome. There is a kid play area there so they won't get bored while you wait for your food. Getting to the parks wasn't bad either, but we had to rely on cabs. We had so much space in a 3-bedroom for the 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 kids.

The volcano pool is nice at night time and it never gets overly crowded. We were there in July and went swimming in the evenings. There is a basketball court and a grilling area. My nephew would play basketball while we grilled some steaks and burgers. The only thing we did miss because Bonnet Creek has us spoiled is the amount of pools and the lazy river at BC, We were at BC the year before for 2 weeks. We're going back to BC this year for 17 days and 4 days at HGVC SeaWorld.

The rooms at Cypress Pointe were very clean when we were there so it should be even better now since all the rooms were renovated. We had problem with the couch while we were there and maintenance came right away and replaced it since my niece got cut on a piece of metal. They told us that all the rooms were being renovated.

Have a good trip. You will definitely have a good time there.

We had a great week at Cypress Pointe! We had no problem with parking, actually got the same spot every night. The drives were fine with no traffic issues. We did joke about how our longest waits of the trip were that light at Walgreens but all in all a fabulous week!
