Cypress Pointe GV--Not Thrilled

Just got back from Cypress Pointe GV. Stayed in a 1BR unit with 2 small children, and my wife. Needless to say the 1BR is VERY SMALL. The unit has no dishwasher or big screen tv. Very strange set-up, couch is in the kitchen, and tv is in the bedroom--Plate glass window and door separating kitchen from BR. It is the 3rd BR or "lockout" to the units. Very noisy at times as we were right by the stairs. We were moved during our stay because the shower upstairs had sprung a leak and was coming down through the light in our shower (gross!-Missed my DW by about 3 min). We were offered no discounts or comps, nor an apology--again a little surprised. Overall the resort was clean and nice, and we would stay again, just in a 2BR or larger.

Thanks so much for the post. We have 3 kids (2 older and 1 under a year) and were going to squish into a 1 bedroom , but after reading your post we are definately going to splurge and get a 2 bedroom. Thanks.

I have looked at this place time and again. I am very interested to stay here- but we've always known it would be a 2 or 3 bedroom. Thank you for your review.

Yes, that l bedroom unit is definitely for a couple only.

Definately go with the two bedroom. They are beautiful and very spacious.

The only things that I didn't like was that there was no tv in the kids room. There are two tvs in the condo, one in the LR and one in the MB. So my kids just used the one in our MB.

The other one was that there were only twin beds in the kids room. I have three children, and when we were at Vistana that second bedroom had doubles. I guess I got used to that real quick. I'm sure most condos only have the twins.

Neither one would stop me from staying there again. It was a VERY, very nice place.
