This will be for our last night stay in Orlando. Were looking at either a two bedroom at CPGV or the Dolphin. Even using the Ent. rate at the Dolphin, it would still be almost double the cost of the CPGV two bedroom. Has anyone stayed at CPGV? And if so, was it nice?

Thanks,

I have not stayed at the grand villas, but I have stayed at CP resort and I thought it was great. I have read mixed reviews on CP, but we had no troubles. I think that the grand villas are supposed to be newer and therefore nicer than CP resort. I have never stayed at the dolphin, so I can not offer any comparisons. I just thought I would share what I know since no one else had responded.

CPGV was one of worst places I've stayed...for a resort...

In our room, the carpet was filthy. I mean, NASTY filthy. My one year old was crawling on the floor. We picked her up after some time had passed and it was like someone has rubbed charcoal on her knees. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it's not!

The furniture was knicked up and can be problematic with children getting splinters. The big screen tv was nice. The pantry area in the kitchen was super handy for stocking everything out of the way but in easy reach.

Let's not forget the night I had to chase down and lynch a palmetto bug in my room. I hate bugs and this SUV bug creeped me the hell out. I don't want to kill bugs on vacation.

The rooms were plenty spacious (2 bedroom unit). The second bath did not have direct entry from the second bedroom, which is mildly annoying to guests on that side. The jacuzzi tub in the master bath is LARGE and a nice retreat.

There were goods and bads. I wouldn't stay there again, but it beats the pants off of HoJo's.
