We are thinking of extending our holiday to 14 nights ( we have booked for 10 nights at the moment) We are staying in a villa for the 10 nights but because we booked a good deal through Bon Voyage for flights, we have to also book at least 3 nights accomadation with them.( or 5 days car hire- I think £450 is too much money)
Cypress Point at LBV looked nice but has anyone got first hand knowledge/ experience of this place.
It seems quite cheap. As long as it is clean and comfortable, I think we could put up with 4 in one room for 4 nights.
Help!!!

I stayed at Cypress Pointe in October '99.We really liked it there and the only reason we didn't return is because we wanted to stay in a villa.
The apartments are large and well fitted out with a small balcony with table/chairs.The pools were nice with a jacuzzi. You can walk to the main pool that has a 'volcano' and volleyball net.
It's in a great area,Lake Buena Vista.

There are films to book on the TV which were the latest films out at the cinema at the time.We saw about 4 films and didn't need to go out to the cinema. There is a washer/dryer too.

The master bedroom is outstanding with a large jacuzzi!

I asked for a view of the pool and technically you could see it out of a window BUT the balcony looked over the car park which wasn't very nice,so i'd specify a view of the balcony over the pool, that would be much nicer.I also said no ground floor and when we got to the apartment we had the ground floor,so i went back to reception and asked to be moved,it really wasn't safe security wise.

Anything else just ask away:tongue:

Thanks Kazzie
What size room did you have?
Can we walk safely to restaurants etc?
Is it quiet enough at night to get a good night's sleep?
I have heard that it's something to do with timeshare, will we be approached?
We have 2 kids , is it a good place for kids without being too rowdy?
Sorry for all these questions, it's either this hotel fo 4 nights or make bookings for places on the Gulf Coast.

Hi

Not noisy at all, very quiet actually.

Definitley not rowdy either,we didn't see many people at all, this was in October. Its a very safe place to stay with kids. They'll like the pool, and theres crazy golf too I think.

We booked Cypress Point (they no longer feature it) with Virgin holidays and we were never approached about doing a timeshre presentation.

We had a 2-bed appartment, adults in the master,2 kids in the other bedroom and 1 kid on the sleeper sofa in the lounge.

We always drove but I'm pretty sure you could walk to restaurants on the SR535 (I think the road is!)

We hated the villa we stayed in so much the following trip we would have booked in to CP if we had had enough money.

Hope this helps::yes::

That's been really useful to me , thank you.
What villa did you stay in that made you so unhappy?:(

We were on Sunset Lakes.I know it is a nice villa resort but we had always stayed places that had things to do onsite and staying in a villa was a shock. With three kids/teens we felt really isolated.

That is why our stay on Windsor Palms for the last two years has been ideal,a private villa and pool (main bonus) but with a community pool and games room and much more onsite.
