Hi! I booked Cypress Palms and was wondering if anyone could share any info. ? Tips? We will be going to Universal Studios and Aquatica. Thanks!

Wondering if anyone had any information. Thanks :)

I just booked Cypress Palms as well. We have not stayed there before but I have a friend that has and he says the accommodations are very clean and well maintained. The reviews on tripadvisor look pretty good as well. We have driven past the property many times. Its an easy drive to SeaWorld/ Aquatica and just a few more minutes up to Universal.

Stayed here a few times.

Nice and well maintained, but it is a very vanilla resort. It has pools, but no features.

Staff is very friendly. Would stay here again.

I love this resort. I have stayed there multiple times including last November. There are many restaurants within walking distance ie Macaroni Grill, Chilis, Pizzeria Uno, Cracker Barrel and Crispy Creme donuts.

Great thanks! I was looking for a smaller resort with family activities. I am hoping Cypress Palms will be a good fit! I think the kids will miss having a water slide, but I think they will be okay ;). We have not had good experiences at BC and we are out of DVC points for the year. I am excited to try out CP.

Stayed once in October 2012. The unit was very clean except for the carpets. They were filthy! What we did like was having a lockout unit. That gave us an extra washer/dryer. Beds were very comfortable! The resort was quiet, and we really enjoyed our balcony overlooking one of the pools. The pools were ice-cold. We couldn't swim in them. I don't know about activities for kids. We didn't see a lot of people around. There was some pressure at check-in to do a timeshare presentation. We had to say no quite a few times. The price was great and we would stay there again. I would just ask to be moved if we had a unit with dirty carpets again.

Stayed in a two bedroom unit in June 2012. We got a great price for a week through Armed Forces Vacation Club. Didn't really notice any activities going on and didn't try out the pool so I can't comment on that. The staff wasn't friendly at all. The beds were comfortable. We did find a dead roach in one of the rooms. We did not really get bothered about a timeshare presentation. Overall, it was okay. For the price we paid it was pretty good. Don't think I'd ever pay full price... whatever that is.
