Has anyone stayed at Wyndham Cypress Palms recently? Are they still refurbishing it or is it completed? Did you get WIFI? How much was it? Did it work well? We are going to be there at the end of the month in a 1BR Deluxe.

Howdy neighbor! Where from? When you guys going to be there? We will be there 2/28-3/7

We are in the snow covered northwest corner. Have you looked on tripadvisor for reviews. A bad one came in just yesterday, starting to get a little concerned. We go next month during spring break:crazy2:
Have a great time.

We haven't been in 18 months but we are returning in a few months. I take everything I read on TravelAdvisor with a grain of salt. Almost every RCI resort I've stayed at has had a few bad reviews and our experiences have always been great.

Wyndham's Customer Service was incredible. I called for replacement vaccuum bags at 9 pm and they were at our door within 30 minutes. We asked for a crib, it was waiting.

The units that haven't been refurbished are older and need redoing but I had no problem with it being extremely clean.

One of the people complaining was doing so because she couldn't get discount tickets. I don't know too many people who surf the DIS board who would wait until they got to their RCI condo to purchase tickets but I don't necessarily see that as a mark against customer service.

That being said, I would pick the Sheraton Vistana over Cypress Palms any day because it's more resortlike but we liked it enough to return again!

Please post after your trip!

Thank you for the info. We spend most stays at Bonnet Creek but waited too long to get in. We did stay at Star Island last year & kids loved it. I am a little worried about it not being gated, but that just makes it that much easier to get to Krispy Kream:rotfl2:

It is set so far back that you won't notice that it's not gated. I do feel safer at gated resorts but we didn't have a problem with Cypress Palms. If you didn't know it was there you would go right past it.

If you are going to compare it to Bonnet Creek it will lose. I believe one of the reasons a lot of RCI resorts have dropped from Gold to Silver is because of the newer resorts like Bonnet Creek. The older resorts just can't compete. We are Wyndham owners (Williamsburg) and haven't had any luck trading into Bonnet Creek. I can't wait to see it for myself!

We stayed there in December and really enjoyed it. There was some exterior landscaping work going on at that time, but we didn't see any interior work going on.

Got WiFi (had to work while on vacation), it worked like a dream. I can't remember exactly what I paid - I want to say $30 for a week pass, but don't quote me on that.

Hope this helps!

Yes thank you for all the info folks! We are currently in the snow covered northwest as well visiting family. I stayed at Bonnet Creek last year, it was nice, but I still think it is over hyped as Wyndham's "flagship"
