Cyber Shot settings for good prints?

What is the best settings on Sony's Cyber Shot Digi Cam's in order to maximize the amount of photos on memory sticks and still get good quality prints from places like Shutterfly? According to their website, I should use 2megapix, standard mode for 4 x 6. Has anyone gotten prints at this setting and how did they look? Is there a big difference in Fine vs Standard?

Memory sticks are relatively cheap. I would recommend always shooting on the highest quality and just have lots of memory sticks handy.

That way, you can digitally zoom or crop the picture and still have a good quality print. it allows for the most flexibility.

My camera shoots 9 MB files per picture so I have 6 x 512 MB CF cards and a 1 GB card.

I agree with the Lion King. I have a Sony Cam also, and I have mine set to Fine and full 4.1MegaPix. I get 65 pics (about 1.8M) each on a 128MB stick...I Have 3 128's, a 64 and a 16, so I'm all set for "film" on most trips even at high quality. And in response to your other post, I have the Sony memory stick holder (not th ealuminum, hard plastic and it holds 8 sticks) and it fits in my camera bag nicely.

Does the hard case fit in the CyberShot size case? Or is your case larger?

I actually didn't ge the cypershot case. I have a DSC-S85 camera, (about the size of a 35MMSLR), so I got the miniDV camera bag. It actually fits both my digital and SLR...I got mine at amazon, but saw it a week later at the gateway store for much less. It is a big bag if you are only carrying the camera, but I bring the charger with me, so I needed something a litltle bigger.
