CW-X tights and event gear

Hi all,
Currently I am training in the frozen tundra, but obviously, the conditions will be very different on January 9! I have never worn warm weather running tights, but I am interested in the knee support offered by CW-X....are the warm weather tights still to warm for an Orlando January morning?

I run in the Pro and Ventilator CW-X and do not have issues at all below 75 ish F [EDIT] in the ventilators. I am a little heat sensitive but set a PR in the half and a course record in the full last year. If I ran in the pro's on Saturday with temps ranging from 49 - 55 during the half. I ran in the Ventilators on Sunday with temps ranging from 55-70F.

I recently ran the San Antonio Half in the Ventilators with temps starting in low 70's.

Note that I run hot and sweat at a higher than normal rate and did not have any issue during these events.

I am a big fan of the Kinesio 'taping' assistance these tights bring.

hmmm, sounds good, my PT has been doing taping on my calves, and this would provide a good alternative The tape starts disengaging after 3 days or so even though it is supposed to last 5. I will definately give them a try, they sound doable for the half in January.

I really hate to say this but I purchased the Ventilator tights at teh expo on Saturday worried about surviving in the pros. (it's a do as I say not as I do moment). I washed the tights that night in the villa and took them for their first riide in the marathon.

I highly suggest not going commando for men until you understand how they will wear in the private area. There is a seam in the wrong place. After you get past the seam isue they provide fairly modest coverage.

I wear running tights year round, for my race yesterday I wore my summer ones, but the race 2 weeks ago I needed my winter ones......both races where in florida.

As you are from somwehre that is COLD you will be fine in warm weather tights in Jan......I on the other hand might wear my cold ones.

My Dh will be wearing warm weathertights when he runs the Goofy too.
