Cvs weekly 8/23-8/29

WOW! I wish I weren't heading to Rochester tomorrow. You know where I'd be!! I could kick myself now! I was at the Maryland store yesterday and didn't bother to check the clearance shelf. Was it all back in the corner on that shelf by the baby stuff? I wonder if any of it will be left on Wednesday? Are there any good CVS stores in Rochester?

Have a fabulous cruise, LanaJae! We will be thinking of you! :woohoo:

Thanks for the preview! Great haul LanaJae, i could really use some eczema stuff for my youngest- the summer makes it get worse, i guess the sweat, heat and sunscreen.

I went to kmart today. First time ever experiencing double coupons as we dont get those in south florida. Heres what i got:

Ziploc free with $1 q from publix summertime savings book

Starbucks doubleshot espresso big can $1 q from a june insert, i think.

Playtex gloves free with $1q from 6/28 ss

Tag body spray and deo free with $2q from P and G

Glade room and carpet free with q from 8/9 ss

Pert mens shampoo free with insert q

Lysol neutra air spray free with insert q. There are bonus packs with two cans for the same price

Smartwater free with insert q

Reach floss free with insert q

Skintimate travel size free with insert q.

Couldnt find some bic razors, vaseline would be free with 1.50 q from 8/9, dove deo is supposedly free too.

I dont know the exact inserts because i cant access any of the databases but everythin was from inserts. It was so much fun and they let us do as much as we wanted but no overage. Also got a $5 off our next purchase.

Have a great week everyone!
Wjat dp use use for her? My DD has it soooo bad this year. I feel so bad for her. It is everywhere....nothing is helping at all.

Those of you who are doing the Kmart deals - I think I have a few new ones that I don't think have been talked about yet. Natures Source cleaners have a $1.00 peelie on them and they are on sale right now for $2.00. They have a couple different kinds, one is a Windex sub, then there is an all purpose and I think a bathroom cleaner.

And if you printed out the IP's the Scrubbing Bubbles ones were for $2.00 off the toilet cleaning gel (if you don't have the ips or ran out there are also $1.00 peelies out there) - the product here was $3.95 so free after IP, $1.95 after peelie but a couple of weeks ago there were coupons in the inserts for a free Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Max Starter Kit if you purchase the toilet cleaning gel. The kits are on sale now for $4.50. So with the IP's this is a great deal!

Hormel Compleats are on sale for $2.00 and there was a .75 MC this week making them .50.
I love Natures Source...I am going to get some...all I can. But my Kmart is not doing the double coupons....still $1.00 each is still good.

For those whose Kmart doesn't double coupons....this is an interesting article...you may just come out beter taking your coupons to Walmart. I have found this to be true. Sometimes K-mart AND CVS are more expensive with a coupon for me than Walmart without. My Superfresh supermarket also doubles, but I find their prices are so high...it still doesn't come out cheaper usually.

This is a good point as I'm sure lots of people were drawn in just because of double coupons, I have a few friends that will buy something just because they have a coupon. Too bad not many people follow things like the lists of all the free or close to free items like those ladies made.

I do buy things that are more expensive at CVS if I can add them to bring up my totals to use a $/$$ coupon or if I get ahead on extra bucks, just because I don't have to use "real" money.

I've tried Aveeno and it does nothing for him. I bought one called AmLactin that had great reviews, but it has a little acid in it and it stung him a little so he wouldn't let me put it on him. It's supposed to be fantastic and really cure the skin, but I guess it is best for adults who understand. I want to try one called Sarna - there is a version without perfumes that has very good reviews, but it is about $13. I need to get it at CVS with one of those ready fill coupons:) He gets it behind his knee and on the inside of his elbow. The rest of his skin is really dry too.

If anyone has enfimil coupons they are not going to use would you pm me please....my sister just had a baby can can really use the help:lovestruc

Well I gues I'm in the last lefe raft getting onboard this weeks thread !!! Diann I think we sink the boats:rotfl2:

Is it just me, or any of you think the deals are getting less and less, and fewer and farther between? :confused3 This past week I did very little, and this week looks even worse (at least for me) :(

I'm so loaded up with stuff (yay) and have given so much away (yay) that I just don't want to spend anything to get even more of the same. Oh no, am I going through CVS burn-out!?? :scared1::laughing:

Yup, you got the burnout ;) I think we all go through it from time to time! Actually, I have been doing really well at CVS the last 5-6 weeks or so and this upcoming week looks decent again with the glade deal.

Just give it a few weeks and you'll be back to normal....LOL if you can call any of us normal

We all go through "CVS burn out". Keep watch on your ECBs and don't let them expire. Just shop enough to keep rolling your bucks.

I find I get burnt out quicker when I have way too many bucks to keep up with on both cards. It comes to be a job of not letting them expire instead of a fun and profitable hobby. When I have more than $40-$50 on my cards I use some of them for things I want/need that are not producing ECBs. $30 is a very comfortable amount for me.

Not too much this week for me but the batteries are always needed and who can resist BOGO on maybelline when you have $4/20 and coupons !!!!

Actually the deals have been pretty good the past several weeks, for me anyway. Around Christmas, I had racked up nearly $200 ECBs. by the end of February I was probably at about $30. I thought the deals would never come back and I'd be stuck at $30 forever, but this summer's deals (esp. the back to school ones) were awesome! And combined with the reappearance of those coveted $/$$ q's, I'm probably at around $120 again

yeah, I've been through that. Just don't let your ECB's expire!

My DD is back to college in a week. I figured I was all set with my stockpile:eek:NO WAY>.. I guess I havent been paying attention. I have 2 YUP TWO:confused3 bottles of shampoo. No toothbrushes:eek: No hand soap,c:eek: no cleaning supplies:eek: How could this happen:eek::confused:
My Kmart does not have double coupons... Oh boy. Even my DH said" Are you feeling ok?" I gave a bunch of stuff to the shelter a few weeks ago but I thought I had lots left in the boxes..nope the boxes had my DD books and back to school things...N:confused Now I need to stock up...

I had to share this with you guys. Below is a picture of my birthday present from DSisIL. It is about 6 inches tall and the best present I have gotten in a long time. She even made a small notebook with CVS on the front to sit in the seat and an extra care card.

Looking for some help with ECB. We've had ECB for some time now, but only really started to understand better recently. Actually only after finding this thread a months back. Anyhow, I am amazed at what some of you do with CVS and ECB. What I can't seem to achieve is the deals that some of you do. Today I searched long and hard for manufacturing coupons to drive down the cost. If someone can point me to the land of the free, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

Happy Birthday, tngramma!!!:cake: :bday: party:

What a thoughtful gift!!! That picture is too funny. :rotfl:

Once again, I'm up in the wee hours trying to get my CVS coupons/list together... two Saturdays in a row - now I know I am CVS crazed!:rotfl2: Got a quick question that I think I know the answer to, but I want to be sure. Fruitopia is BOGO sale this week and I have a Extra Care Coupon for BOGO - does that mean I can get both free? I also have 1.00 off RIB coupons - can I tie those in anywhere? TIA!:goodvibes And then what $ amount can I figure in towards the $25.00 I need to use a 5/25? Would it be the $ amount of one bottle which I believe is $3.25 or would it be the $ amount of two bottles or no $? Sorry this sounds confusing - it's too early!

If you scan your card at the beginning, I think the second shampoo rings up as "FREE", so it doesn't count towards the $25. If you scan the card at the end, it will count, but I wouldn't count on that since sometimes cashiers will ask you for your card before ringing up anything. And with the BOGO, it would be YMMV. It will go through just fine with no beeps, but sometimes cashiers notice you're getting both for free and they don't always like that! So YMMV on that one but its worth trying!

I have that same BOGO for the Fruitopia!! I was waiting for it to go on sale to use it. Thanks for the heads up. My store lets them both ring up for free.

Boettj - I get the Sunday paper and then keep the coupons in a file. I put the date on the front of them and keep them in order. When I make out my CVS/Rite Aid lists, when it says 7/19SS, I know that that particular coupon was in the Smart Source on 7/19 and I can easily find it. It did take a couple months for me to have the coupons that were referred to on all the lists. Good luck!!

Ok, probably a dumb question :)

The Raisin Bran 2/$4 - will they charge just $2 for one - OR do you have to buy 2 to get the sale price, with buying just one coming up at regular price? Its that way at many grocery stores (buying one is at reg price) so wanted to check first. TIA.

Thank you

You can check the first post on the CVS weekly thread for some IP's that Flaky and others put up to use with merchandise on sale. If you get Sunday newspaper inserts, you can use hotcouponworld or afullcup and use their coupon database to match up products with c/o's. Another source I use a lot is hip2save which outlines deals in a very precise manner. Iheartcvs is another source and so is weusecoupons.

Yes, you can get one for $2.
