Between CVS and Walgreens, this is what I got today, it all works out to free after coupons extra bucks/register rewards (not counting tax):

I dragged my husband in with me to only 1 Walgreens to do a deal because I was getting tired, and it was an easy one - it didn't even phase him that he got $35 worth of food and stuff and paid $1.03 and got $10.50 back. He said he needed a candy bar too and I said no way, I'll buy you one at CVS down the road and it will count towards the candy deal He couldn't figure out why it was wrong to spend another $1.

I am really excited about this weeks deals! Thanks as always! I haven't had time to come post my deals lately because I've been so busy but I have a question for you all and a good deal for those that dye your own hair.

For the buy 6 get 1 free hair dye deal (mine has been listed on the bottom of my receipt for a while now, since I bought my last box) does that print out a coupon or will the computer automatically make the last box free? Herbal Instincts hair dye is on sale for $5.99 this week and there is a $4 coupon in the P&G insert making it $1.99 a box. I need to buy five more boxes to get the free one and want to use six coupons to make it an even better deal ($1/box!). Can I do it in one transaction or will I have to wait for a coupon to print to get the free one? I guess I kind of solved my problem myself, realizing that I could still use the coupon in the free box transaction, but still curious about how it works. Thanks!

I have never heard of this. I would think that it would print a coupon since it's an accumulating deal. You can use the coupon with that coupon, just like you thought, but will have to buy another item in the same transaction to cover the overage.

I only had time to go to the Dollar Store for papers and to the old Woodbury store. They were substituting different rulers and different folders when I was there.

Glad you got your papers! I was visiting with the employees there and they said I could substitute, but then pointed out this coupon lady that was mean to them and talked about how she wanted substitutions on everything, had several cards, got mad when stuff was out of stock, etc. so I just said that I would check at the other store instead, it was no big deal. It's so funny - they tell me about all the "bad" people, but quickly say, "but we don't mean you do that, you're fine" - makes me think that they are pointing me out to those other people saying the same thing

I am so burnt out on shopping after today. I have to get 18 more boxes of cereal at Walgreens too, but not today, I already hit 2 shifts at 4 stores and 1 trip to 3 other stores besides that. Oakdale and West St. Paul were really nice to me so that kept me motivated. I'm using the 9¢ folders at Walgreens for fillers to cover my Register Rewards.

I just realized my list was wrong, I bought the Visine and Blink on Wed. during the early test market - I just copied and pasted the list from what I wrote to my mom in an email. She took my 2 youngest kids for a few days so weren't stuck going with me to all the stores.

Nice! Mine lied to me, told me they didn't have any and if they came in with the next shipment they might go fast so sorry in advance if I don't get one. I saw them sitting on the counter right in front of him, but they were half covered and I didn't realize that's what they were until after I sent DH to a different store to get one. I'll be heading there tomorrow to get one for sure.

I can't stand when they obviously lie to you...right to your face too.

Great list Lana! My haul today was crazy too

I got all the school supplies (except folders), 2 Softsoap, 4 Stayfree, 2 Blink, 4 Dawn, Benefiber and 4 cases of soda for a grand total of .51! I am down $1 in ECB from where I started so my total cost for the day was $1.51

Rite Aid was nuts today. I am up to 4 transactions (2 accounts) so far and am at a PROFIT of $26....I still have at least 6 transactions to go there this week yet. I only do 2 transactions per store and break down my orders to $25 to use the $5/$25 coupons. I had to be at work by 1 today so I just ran out of time. Hopefully they will have the rest of the stuff tomorrow when I get out!

I started CVSing and trying to get the deals at Target to make splurges we were use to before DH was laid off a little less of a guilty pleasure now. I suppose that is exactly what we did today.

Also, we got a Dollar General Store sales ad with our paper today. They have a lot of items on sale that had matching coupons in the paper today. I know it is hard not to get the EBC but if you are looking for a good deal on the things you use everyday it would be worth a stop. This is usually where we get our cleaning supplies.

Thanks for the help Lanajae. I don't know anything about the buy 6 get 1 free hair color deal other than the fact that after I bought a box of hair dye a few weeks ago it started showing up on my receipts. If it automatically takes it off at the register I could get 7 boxes of hair dye and the free mascara for $2.94 total cost after coupons (not even using ECB's to get that total!) so I would love it to work that way!

How do you guys think they categorize Osteo Bi-Flex? It would be free for 2 boxes if they consider it diet/nutrition (BOGO @$15.99 - $12 MQ's - $4/$20 diet/nutrition from the ready fill book) or $2 if they consider it a vitmin and you use the $2/$10 vitamin coupon. If they let you use two of those then it would still be free but I'm not sure they would.

Okay, time to pull an all-nighter if you can, this deal will get fixed asap, but not by the end of tonight and it will possibly last until Tuesday in the system, but I'm sure the stores will pull all the flavors that work...

Buy 1 Vitamin Water at $1.25, get $3 extra bucks

I did this 7 times (one at a time because I read that's the only way that works). I still didn't reach the limit, plus I had Reinventing Beauty coupons for each too.

I only bought "power-c," but I read that Vitamin Water 10 mega-c and go-go work too. Not all flavors work.

It's a glitch in the system for the 12-packs, I suspect the limit ends up to be 12 - someone entered it in wrong.

UPDATE: It appears that it will work at some stores and not others, even in the same town. It might mean that they fixed it and not all systems have been updated yet. It's worth trying tonight if you can.

The limit is reported at 9.

I just read up on it on slickdeals and HCW...it seems way too YMMV for me to try. I might swing by tomorrow though if there are still reports of it working. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the deal!

Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. I finally got a new laptop so I am back in action.

Got lots of great stuff today between my mom and I. She is still killing me trying to buy things that aren't on sale, but she is learning. I will be going back tomorrow for the Pampers and more Softsoap.

If you managed to find the 2 pocket folders make sure you get your ECB, they are not printing. I need to either return these or send an email to get my ECB. I know it's only a dollar but Walmart has these folders for a nickel so it's annoying.

Is anyone else but LanaJae annoyed by these tax changes? I spent $5 today just in tax!!!!! I know it is still a good deal, but I spent $12 in the whole month of July. $5 a trip is going to wipe me out....... I wish there was some loophole to get around paying it on the before coupon amount.

I'm still very confused about how the tax thing is working here in Tx. Before we just paid tax on the price after ALL coupons/ECBs, but a couple days ago I was charged tax when my subtotal was $0. I think it might have to do with the date the ECB's were printed. I use up my ECB's by date so it might be that I haven't yet used any of the newer ones that were printed after this went into effect. Either way I'm not looking forward to paying lots of OOP for tax!
