Cvs weekly 6/28-7/5

Hi everyone.
I just wanted to tell you about a deal I found.

at CVS.. the is childs nasal strips that are marked down 75% makin them
$1.50. Inside the box there is a 2.00 coupon making them free,
I found them in the isle with the strips. Right on the self.:lovestruc

Thanks so much for posting!!! :flower3:

Thanks for posting - I wonder if the nutrashield coupon will work on any coppertone this week? It worked fine for me last week on the 50 spf spray. So hopefully...

ClareBelleFan I am back in MD and went shopping at the commissary this afternoon. I save 75% on my grocery bill.

Wow! That's great! Any overage coupons??

We went yesterday to the one at APG and only saved 26% - my worst week ever - but we were only replenishing perishables since we are pretty well stocked with staples. The only overage coupons I could use were for the gloves and they only had 4 in stock.

The tuna is 2/$1. Flaky you have 4/1 in the OP!!

woops...thanks I fixed it:thumbsup2

I was thinking of something and I thought all of you can help with this:confused3

In the 1st post should we add a section of items that are Free and Almost Free with coupons all the time?

I know some of you are so good with this.:teacher:

Example: There are Ziploc bags that are in the sample section and there
are 1.00 coupons that can be used making this .49 or free for some.

There are the sample size bandaids in the sample section and with a
coupon the are .49 or Free.

What do you think? Like a Filler section? I would be happy to post them
all together. I am not good at finding them:lovestruc

Great idea! - if I find any, I will let you know. I did find an almost free: some L'Oreal HIP products are green-sticker tagged at 75% off (this is nationwide), so the $9.99 products are 49 cents after using the $2 coupon from the 4-19-09 Red Plum and/or the 6-14-09 Smart Source.

I bought the Neutrogena Wave Duo for my daughter today (I used that fantastic store opening coupon, but I won't write out my trip since no on else has it).

$15.99 Wave Duo (Sunday/Monday only)
-3.00 IP mfg. http://www.neutrogenawave.com/wave-coupons.aspx?section=home&afsrc=1 (click "back to special offers" after signing in/registering to get the coupon for the unit itself, otherwise you will get refill pad coupon)
$12.99 (earn $5, so $7.99 after coupon/ECB)

I also bought some of the 2/$1 soups and the Palmolive after 25 cent coupon. We don't have the Oreo/milk deal here.

My daughter can eat now! This is a picture of her x-rays from right before surgery to now. If I had the x-ray from last year, it would be way more dramatic as it was prior to getting 8 teeth pulled and then closing in that space, if you look at the profile, you can see the huge difference. It changed her nose, her eyes, and even the placement of her ears.

Thanks as always flakypuff! I would LOVE a special section for the free or almost free stuff as I am no good at that either! I really appreciate everybody's willingness to help out and try to do so on the rare occasion when I stumble on a deal myself. :p

I went in today, got two Coppertones which we needed and got the $8 ECB. Used those on my Brawny paper towels (had a coupon, yay) and a couple of the 88 cent Palmolives. Got $2 ECB from that, so I picked up three more Palmolives (we can wash a LOT of dishes now) and the Dasani that was on sale. I had three of the $2 off L'Oreal HIP products and was so excited to use them...BUT..by the HIP area there was one sign that said the thing about 75% off if it has the sticker, yet none of the items had the sticker. (every area in the rack was full, too, fooey!) I asked about it and got a pretty snotty reply, so I guess I didn't need a HIP deal, lol.

I am just now sticking my toes into the whole ECB thing, although I've had a card forever. I *think* I saved about $11 today between ECBs and my manufacturer's coupon. You geniuses who walk out with tons of stuff for like, 7 cents, amaze me.

Thanks, Fluffypuff, for this thread and your hard work!

Wow Lanajae! Her profile is so different! I'm glad she is feeling better and can eat too! Wow you can even see the screw in her chin!

Wow, Lanajae! That is a dramatic change. Glad she can eat now. :thumbsup2

Just got back from Walgreens. I had a stack of coupons for $1 off Kellogg's cereal so I went and got 10 boxes of Froot Loops and 2 boxes of Frosted Flakes. They are on sale this week for $1.99 so only .99 after coupons!

They had the Gillette Fusion Phantom razor on clearance for $4.79 so after $4 coupon (P&G) it was only $.79.

The Dry Idea is a moneymaker if you have the $2 off coupons (IP from coupons.com). On sale for $2.99 with a $2 RR. $1.01 profit on each one with the coupon. (Of course both of my local stores were wiped out already but a great deal if you can find them).

Next time you are in the store, scan the Pure Pigment Shadow Sticks, there are 4 colors and they should ring up at $2.49 each.

Isn't that crazy? I'm still trying to get used to having a whole new face on her.

Walgreens>>>> I completely forgot about that deal and I have some of those coupons - thanks! I can use up some of my $1 RRs from the baby powder with a filler now.

We did get overage on the Chinet plates, and Mighty Dog dog food. That coupon was for a free can or $1 off a 6 pack or something. She took the $1 off. Also got several of the KY Jelly, got some of the Playtex gloves, and bunches of A1 marinade. I had made a list from the commisary thread and the only thing we could not find was the pouches of tuna (sold out) and the Bertolli pasta sauce.

DDIL was so excited as she was in Iraq when I was doing the shopping before. She wants me to stay and go shopping with her each week.:rotfl2:

This is such a great idea. On one of the other sites they have a Free or almost free post. I get so much help from those.

I have a $5 ECB expiring this week. Have to see if there anyway to roll that.

Do you have to do anything special to get the Register Rewards? DO I need a card or anything????

Do you have to do anything special to get the Register Rewards? DO I need a card or anything????

At Walgreens, no, you don't need a card or anything. The only thing to remember is that you can only buy one product (or deal) at a time and you can't use the Register Rewards you earn to buy the same item(s). Another thing to remember at Walgreens when you spend your Register Rewards is that they are manufacturer coupons and you have to have an item to cover each coupon (Walgreens coupons don't count against you though). This makes it a little harder than CVS. Those of us who do Walgreens too are always looking for cheap items as fillers.

This is an example.. last week I bought a Johnson & Johnson baby powder for $1.29 and I earned a $1 Register Reward for it.

This week I want to buy a deodorant for $2.99 so I can earn a $2 Register Reward on it. I have a $2 coupon, but I don't want to pay 99 cents of my own money, so I need a filler so I can use the $1 Register Reward from the baby powder, my transaction looks like this:

$2.99 Dry Idea
-2.00 mfg. from coupons.com
0.20 hair elastics on clearance
-1.00 Register Reward from last week
$0.19 + tax (earn $2 Register Reward)

The bad thing about Walgreens is that you have to pay tax on the entire amount, so I pay tax on $2.99 plus $0.20, in addition to my out of pocket cost of $0.19. Also, the Register Rewards expire in 2 weeks, as opposed to 1 month at CVS. I try to only buy things our family uses at Walgreens, unless I am getting ahead (as in this deal).

The good thing about Walgreens is that there is no limit - as long as you buy 1 item or deal per transaction, you can buy as many as you want (although they are often out of stock because of this).

You also have to plan for the future and read up on future ads so that you don't accumulate a bunch of Register Rewards that you can't roll into new deals.

It's reported on another site that the Spiderman and Iron Man kids' sunglasses are working for the buy 2, get $10 ECB deal this week. They are $5.99 each. Not free, but one of the only decent offers for rolling this week.

Thanks LanaJae. Sounds like some good deals to be had but also alot more work than CVS. But good to know! :goodvibes

Thanks for the Walgreens info.

Does anyone know if the dry idea at Walgreens is good for the roll on?? My coupons are for roll on and the ad shows solid.

so I just got back from a great day at CVS. I had a bunch of Ragu coupons b/c I was going to do the deal last week from Walgreens but all of my stores were out of it; and I had 2 Coppertone $5 coupons. Finally, I had a $15 ECB to use that I got from the Pampers deal a couple of weeks ago. I also had a $2 waterbabies CVS coupon So I got the following:

6 jars Ragu (3/$5)
2 Coppertone waterbabie's spray ($8.99) each

They let me use the $2 CVS coupon, the two $5 coupons and three $1/2 ragu coupons, so my result was $14.98!

So to use the $15 ecb, I bought 3/$2 caramello candy bars which I needed like a sore thumb!

So $1.98 for all of that! And I got $8 ECB to use next time - SCORE!!!!!

Of course on the drive back, I thought I should have bought 3 more Ragu as I had coupons left to make up the difference, but I'll live!
